How is it a scam? They are not forcing you to buy anything.

Imo it is a scam

They know the collection is not as worth as new AAA game, so they are putting a deadline to people rush their purchases so Nintendo will get enough money on their Q3/Q4/Q1, until they release proper AAA titles

Plus announcing SMAS 1 on Switch online as a new game is a scam too. Those games are already available on Online on their original version, there is no reason to announce it as a new thing when they are not

A scam would be selling empty boxes and/or a game that does not start.

You are just unhappy with the value equation and that is completely fine but not a scam.

Are you gonna update that once those two are also gone? :D

Also you are being mean to Twilight Princess HD :P

Yep. Once everything's gone, I'll just say "YOU PLAY WII GAMES!" I included WW HD because it's a large enough change gameplay wise and graphically to be seriously different from WW on GameCube. As far as I know Twilight Princess HD is just a resolution bump right?

Well they would have made even more money if they didnt put a deadline on it since there are still people who will buy a Switch after the game is no longer available. Seems like its just to celebrate the 35th year of Mario.

Also everyone knows what All-Stars is. Its on the SNES Online service.

To be fair it is an amazing console for playing multiple older generations of games and probably the best one if you hack it.

No. TPHD has the same upgraded textures and lighting as WWHD.  They just stand out less because of the more realistic artstyle, but side by side with the Wii and Gamecube versions the difference is actually really big.  It also cut down on the twilight bugs sections the same way WWHD cut down on the triforce shard quest and included all of the same control and interface improvements WWHD had as well as a hard mode with the entire game flipped like it was in the Wii version, not to mention the amibo support and added gauntlett cave.

If it was just about a celebration they would release it for free, this collection is to make money

It's just it's not worth it enough to make as much as they want for a AAA game

Sure, they still need profit for software sales and looking how dreadful is current 1st party line up for this second half of the year they are doing what they can for increase 1st party software sales even if it's hurting future revenues

Next year they will release more games and those games will sell a lot of course, they are now probably more concerned with short therm than long therm

While Nintendo Anniversary Collections tend to be limited printings, both 25th Anniversary collections for the Wii can still be bought pretty cheap, and they even did a Reprint under the Nintendo Selects label. Unless something changes, I would expect it to be pretty easy to buy physical copies for basically forever.

This thread is a perfect example of setting your expectations too high.

Well if you dont think its worth it, then dont buy it. Simple as that. Im excited for it. Getting Sunshine in HD. Having a great controller for Mario 64. 20 bucks for each game is reasonable imo.

I get that some people wanted more out of the 3D collection but just don't buy it if that's the case. Stop trying to convince other people who want the product, they're getting scammed.
