Hmmm If Sony only has 2700 games then why are they testing over 4000 PS4 games for BC on PS5?

Good question (o_~)

guess they lied, how surprising

Or maybe the rumors of PS4,PS3,PS2,PS1 all in BC are real? and some of these 4000+ games they are testing in BC arn't PS4 games?

that would mean the "4000 ps4" games would still be a lie

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

For those talking quality standards, it's not like bad games are a Switch exclusive commodity.

Bet with Liquidlaser: I say PS5 and Xbox Series will sell more than 56 million combined by the end of 2023.

Honestly, the number of games itself is a meaningless data from the consumer perspective

Xbox has a better third library ,switch does not receive most tripleA games ,these numbers shows that nintendo is accepting any garbage

Yeah but 95% off those games are absolute spam, mobile games on Switch

Source?

But anyway amazing success for the Switch. Still a shame that people are still not praising the success of the Switch.

"We said that the PS5 has been designed to play PS4 games. We're going through the process with the publishers and developers testing that rather exhaustive library of over 4,000 games. We're happy with the progress that's been made." - Jim Ryan, CEO of SIE.

Its not clear that he means 4000 PS4 games, from the way its formulated.

life of a black tiger.

the unknown city : horror begins Now

I think the opinion is there is vastly more of it on the Switch, than the PS4.
Basically take every game of that level on the PS4, and theres like 10 or 100 times that amount on the Switch.

Sheer number of games isn't a metric that can be used to judge anything.

Thankfully Nintendo carry the system with 1st party content because the Switch will continue to miss out on the biggest games of the year from 3rd parties. Which is why more games doesn't equal better library.

It's actually one of the few objective measures.  Hardware sales, software sales, and number of titles in a library are objective measures.  Review scores are not so objective, because people can tamper with those.  Review scores get inflated by critics and then review bombed by users.  But number of titles?  What you see is what you get.

PS vita had more games then the 3DS and the Dreamcast more than the N64. Sheer number of games is of course and interesting metric to look at but it doesnt really tell you much. As a consumer it's not valuable.
