After last week Xbox Series X event and today Unreal 5 demo on PS5 do you still think Sony is taking a beat on marketing and mindshare or have Sony retook some ground?

Mr Puggsly: "Hehe, I said good profit. You said big profit. Frankly, not losing money is what I meant by good. Don't get hung up on semantics"

Who cares, the XBox SX will run the same demo at likely higher performance.

For the record, the actual Series X reveal, was this:

Well the Xbox reveal showed games that are actually coming out vs the unreal 5 demo that didn't. So the Xbox reveal automatically wins. The unreal demo had more wow factor but isn't likely to be a good indicator of what to realistically expect from these consoles.

My issue with Microsoft events is they are like those people who talk a lot but really are saying nothing. MS will show 60 games but you never remember 90% of what was shown. This Sony UE5 demo is only showing 1 thing. A tech demo. Simple and to the point. An ND focuses on just a few games and goes in-depth with info and gameplay. MS shows a billion trailers with no info and little to no gameplay. It's the MO of a Phil Spencer led Xbox brand. I think MS is lousy at marketing. Sony still understands it. Nintendo figured it out with Switch.

Sony understands teasing us will leave us wanting more. A logo. A controller reveal. A tech demo. All spaced out. Maybe XSX will be a good console but they need to figure out how to market better otherwise they will continue to play from behind.

Bite my shiny metal cockpit!

Yeah, but it's XBox, so no one cares.

I liked Sony's one better cause it actually showed some gameplay instead of "In Engine"

But neither will be truly worth the fap until they show case their first party games.

Gameplay of a tech demo vs gameplay and in engine footage of games actually coming out that people can play.

As others have said, uh the Xbox reveal was Hellblade II and in what world would a tech demo surpass actual games. Plus who is actually thinking Sony is losing market share or PR points? Is this another crapgamer/Youtuber angle?

That tech demo looked awesome but I was distracted by how everything was crumbling all the time.

Signature goes here!

At the end of the day, most of us are 10 years older on avg since the PS360 wars, shouldn't we all be mature enough now with better paying jobs to just afford them both and not worry about the minor things on who did what better?

In the end they will both have great exclusives. It is whether you want to enjoy them all or pick a virtual side.
