CNN said 97% of early voted counted in NC and election vote is starting to come in. Biden was up to 600k in Texas 15mins ago and now it's only 100k as in-person votes have been coming in.
Can someone in America explain how Biden has won Virginia? He seems to have 40% of the vote vs Trump's 58%
It is clear in the other state where you see Biden leading lol.

Insta-calls are usually based on exit polling and state history/polling. Basically they are saying that counting the votes is a formality because all signs point to an easy victory. If you look at county level data, you see that the cities have a very small margin reporting. Expect a huge swing.

Maryland has been called for Biden with exactly no vote counts reported. Probably some states are seen as safe enough, and if exit polls show no big surprises it gets called by the media outlets. Probably in Virginia more democratic leaning counties are expected later.

Virginia is a democratic state. Current projections had Biden winning and the current Trump votes doesn't seem to have a big enough effect to change that.

Probably by knowing more or less what the not-yet-counted ballots turn out to be. West Virginia was also called for Trump at a point where Biden was leading with over 60% of the votes, but look where they are now.

More than 10.4M votes are counted so far in Florida, already a million more than 2016. Both candidates clearly outperform the 2016 result. But it seems Trumps lead is bigger than 2016. Florida seems to go again to Trump.
On the other hand gets Texas a surprising nailbiter.
Florida is confusing to me. You think the Hispanic vote alone would make it a easy dem win.
