Sucks, pre ordered in July and still not received my series X.

Hard to blame them for that though. They don't really have much chance in Europe to be honest and Sony seems to be prioritising US as well this time (judging by their statements, it's pretty clear that they really want to win US over Xbox once again). So, wise decision in my opinion from MS side. Win US at launch and then move on to EU expansion. |
Nobody is saying MS can win Europe from one to the next day but MS isn't even trying and that's the problem. They didn't try anything last gen here and it seems that it won't get better this gen. Sony isn't just winning with such a huge gap without doing anything. They win so hard because they take the market serious which MS clearly doesn't. They have no huge ad campaigns, they don't get marketing deals for important games or anything. They just release the consoles in Europe and are like "take it or not but don't expect us to do anything not with USA/UK in mind"
But Xbox already tells people to buy a PS5 if their friends own one so I guess I should really do that. makes no sense to me to buy an Xbox when all my friends moved away from it after the 360. I just hate how stupid/lazy/indifferent MS is in Europe because I was always more of an Xbox guy but yeah...

Were less than a month into the generation. I think its too soon to early to say MS marketshare on Europe wont get better.

| Machiavellian said: It would be very unrealistic to believe that MS will sell more consoles then Sony. Sony had a great gen with the PS4 while MS has struggled to correct the early mistakes and build towards a decent first party studio base. Sony would need to stumble very hard for MS to even gleam selling as many consoles as Sony. What they can do is be more competitive in the US and EU markets and try to build a better base in other markets. So far so good but it will be a long upward battle and may not even be the focus as much for MS, who knows. One thing is clear, is that the Series X is a beast and hopfully those MS studios can wow with their exclusives once they release which is going to be important. I still believe that MS missed on the controller front but we will see after about 6 months if this makes a big difference. |
They will have to change the definition of what winning means this gen. Instead of more consoles sold, they will prioritize monthly users. Between console, PC, mobile streaming, with Game Pass promoting frequent engagement, Xbox as a brand can certainly be more popular monthly then Ps, despite selling less consoles.
Dragon Quest and Control for me. I was patient with Control and now it’s mine :)
What a wonderful start for Game Pass this month. I have so much to play right now I've been strategizing the best way to tackle it.
Main priority. I'm in the middle of FFXV Royal Edition. I need to finish this game before it leaves GP in the next month or so.
Gears Tactics - It's a great game to jump in and out of. Not in a rush to finish it.
Doom Eternal- Still kinda early in this game. Plan to finish before the end of the year or January.
Ori 2- Still early, not sure when I want to finish.
Neir Automata- Started, but need to complete FFXV before I start playing this again.
Starting soon
Control - Will start playing in January. Finish in January.
Cyberpunk 2077- Start in January when I get it for Christmas. No rush to complete.
Call of the Sea-Start in January or February.
There are more games coming that I want to play, but I don't have enough damn time.
