There's an achievement for killing a grunt thrown by a brute? .. that's a mechanic in this game? I've never seen it.

I think it's the grunt that comes flying at you with two plasma grenades in its hand. That achievement popped for me when I killed one of those flying through the air. I didn't see him get thrown though. I've seen them flying at me more often but always miss where they come from. It's all very hectic during combat.

@shikamaru317 I found a couple accessible by tunnel. This one seems to be at the top part of the Tower, one of the first mission when you get to the surface and where the Zeta Halo Tour schedule is posted on the roof.

It looks like it's behind locked gates inside at the top part. Perhaps you can only access that section during the mission as everything is locked up now.

I got that achievement before even getting into the openworld lol. Think I got very lucky, and tbh I didn't even see the grunt get thrown.

Yeah, I got that one. Selecting it on the minimap shows a tracker target on the roof, but it is actually far below, underground and accessible from a secret tunnel. Unless there are two at the tower, but I don't think there were.

Ah, yeah it clearly shows the marker at the top when you approach from the side. I'll look down at the bottom next time. I finally started the dig site mission last night and repeatedly got my ass handed to me in one of the reinforcement waves. I was too wasted to concentrate anymore lol. Damn mob with a rocket launcher kept getting me.

Damn Bassus is one cheap bullet sponge bastard. The Spiderman approach worked in the end, grapple hook over his head back and forth. Cheap enemy, cheap tactics...

Difficulty is more hit points, faster enemies, more damaging aoe attacks. Oh and invisibility and spawning in double shot snipers everywhere. At least it's very predictable. Routine to clear out a base, circle to get the snipers, disable all turrets (or they'll get you later), clear out the exploding crap that will be in the way later. Then touch an objective and clear the wave that triggers. Easy when there is a Ghost to use/steal. Getting quite good at navigating that thing around.

And indeed those grunts. I wish I could convince some to come to my side to take them along :) They're so cute.

Very much looking forward to this!

Spoiler!

Better put Goat on suicide watch.

JK, I don't really think Locke is dead. For one thing, there is the rule that if a main character isn't shown dying on screen, he's not really dead. Then there is the fact that there is an audio log in Infinite which suggests Locke is still alive. The theory is that this is cut dialogue that was accidentally left in the game, apparently it only plays on the propaganda towers with the I Would Have Been Your Daddy skull on. Maybe 343 originally planned to kill Locke off-screen, which is why we even got the toy with Locke's helmet on Hyperius' shoulder, but after the complaints they decided to cut that during the 1 year delay year.

Spoiler!
He's not dead, no way they would kill him off-screen, also, Grunts are known bullshitters, Lol.
Spoiler!
Normally, I would agree. But with Locke...I'm not so sure. Suffice it to say, he was not a well liked character, and as far as stories 343 wanna tell moving forward, I'm not sure Locke would factor into them in any meaningful or interesting way...which means he easily could have found himself on the cutting room floor, so to speak.

Why are the hammer brutes so god damn fast lol

Bruh, Escharum was a dick, I was like "I'll be fine, enough dis-HOLY SHIT HIS JUMP" and dead His lunge across the map was some bullshit, it took me a few times to get the hang of it, having to run around the map constantly spamming my Grapple, Lol. Thank God for checkpoints.

The easiest way to fight him was actually just always facing and shooting him - which staggers him fairly regularly - and then just use the thruster to get out of the way whenever he does swing. He's literally incapable of hitting you when using thruster.
