The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel II (PlayStation 3)

Over the last five or so years, The Legend of Heroes franchise has become one of my favourite series of games ever, and as far as JRPGs are concerned they are second only to Final Fantasy in my eyes. Trails of Cold Steel II is the first of four games from the series you'll find in my top 50, as well as being the game that made the biggest jump up compared to last year. The more I thought about the game, the more I realized liking it, and that the place I put it last year was simply far too low, so here we are. 

The game continues the story from the first game wonderfully, and naturally sets up the sequel's events as well. The characters are genuinely among my favourites in any video game, the music is great, and the battle system is excellent as well. There is very little that I don't love in it, and once I get around to playing more games in the series I wouldn't be surprise to see them making it into my top 50 in the future as well.

No guesses for this game yet, so here's another hint for it:

1. The on-going saga of perhaps the most dysfunctional family in video game history, now with four generations of people joining the fun.
2. This particular family is afflicted with something called the "Devil-gene". Maybe that's the reason for their rather ridiculous hairstyles.

It's definitely Tekken. I'll try with Tekken 3 and yes the Mishimas are a really fucked up family.
