With the decade's E3 conferences all done, which do you think was Nintendo's best, and (don't forget this part) WHY was it the best in your opinion?

2016...maybe not the best E3 overall...but they did something not only that no one had ever done before, but also something that many people thought was a recipe for disaster. They put all their eggs into the single basket that was Breath of the Wild...and blew everyone away. Their E3 was a success on many levels and started a hype train we had not seen for Nintendo in a long time with just a single title. Everyone went in expecting to be let down, but when it was all over most people were just amazed at how they pulled it off.

(I voted 2017 in the poll by accident 😑)

2014 was definitely a fantastic year for Nintendo during a poor era for them, but I think 2017 or 2019 were better. 2018 wasn't bad either (the Everyone is Here announcement gave me goosebumps).

Objectively? 2019. A lot of great announcements made. Something for everyone!

Personally? 2017, since that's when Prime 4 was announced. I'll also never forget how hyped I was for Mario Odyssey after that killer trailer!

I'd say 2010! They announced a lot of great games there.

Hard to decide which one tbh 2010, 2014, 2016, 2017 and 2019 were all really good and even 2018 was quite solid, in terms of implication 2019 is probably overall the better of the showings.

2014 was the best for me. The Smash stuff was hype, the new Zelda looked amazing (and I for one totally believed it actually was coming in 2015), Splatoon was a great announcement, and it was the first time they did the whole Direct/Treehouse/Tournaments thing and they nailed it.

This. We haven't seen any big new IP like Splatoon since then (ARMS is not such a big thing). I really enjoyed the Direct/Treehouse/Tournaments and I'm really happy that they continued this concept.

I want to be a complete fanboy and say 2017 just because of Metroid Prime but I think 2019 was better/is the best of the 2010's.

For me it's close between 2010 (reveals for Donkey Kong Country Returns, Skyward Sword, Goldeneye 007, Kirby's Epic Yarn) and 2014. (BOTW, Splatoon, Captain Toad)

Ultimately I went with 2010 as 4 awesome new games > 3 awesome new games. XD

2019.

But it doesn't beat 2004 with that Twilight Princess reveal ;)
