So what? Irrelevant to what I said.

Many people also skip DLC and microtransactions.

So they are only figures to many people, but people here act like it is only DLCs to everyone

What people use them for isn't the point, what Nintendo did with content regarding Amiibos is.

Nintendo locked content on discs that you pay for behind going out and buying these dumb figures. I'll take an optional cosmetic $1 microtransaction over that, thanks.

Don't worry, he's been completely irrelevant since the beginning of the discussion.

"But but but but pixel value !" ... That's not the topic at all, but he's apparently unable to admit anything if Nintendo is involved.

When you get amiibo, you don't have to use it for game but as a figure collection instead, the red dot DLC things, not so much "but he's apparently unable to admit anything if Nintendo is involved", i will if they only have one way to use it as DLC but nope, not the case with amiibo, it have at least 2 ways to use. Also, wonder what will you do if Sony is involved

Why would you even try to involve Sony here when no one mentioned them before? Stop it, you're way too blinded by this Nintendo subject, don't try "You're the fanboy" diversions.

Yeah, because you have to buy the game to use it

Who need to? I only ask "what will you do if Sony is involved" in this case. You can choose to keep silent or straight answer, whatever suit yourself

Even if it's optional and minor and the price is only one dollar; I feel that a climate and culture where it's even conceivable to try to sell a red dot for one dollar is a highly problematic one and it shows where the industry is currently headed and situated. All these minor and major things all add up to an industry with less and less regard for a fair trade and consumer respect. Not thinking this a big deal is one thing, defending it a completely different one, I can't see any rational reason to at all.
Even though I'll likely never play a CoD again, I find it upsetting and worrying that the industry is adopting these ridiculous business models in the past few years, there are no upsides to this for us as end users.

I already created myself a thread to complain about Sony, and complain about them regularly, because I am able to complain when something is bad whoever is responsible. Not everyone is blinded by just one word, and wants to yell "stop attacking my favorite publisher" again and again while ignoring any argument and fact.

The fact here is that no dev or publisher is better than the others when it comes to DLC, except maybe CD Projekt RED (for now) and smaller ones. Even Nintendo and Sony are down there with the others, whether you like it or not.

It's near, or maybe even already at the point where I don't have the energy to discuss the antics of Activision, EA, Konami, Ubisoft, ect anymore. At least in any depth. Same thing with Trump. I feel like I gassed out throwing haymakers in the 3rd round, and my opponent is still standing. I will say this though ( yet again ): I stopped buying Activison games with COD: World At War ( although Diablo 3 did sneak past by accident ), and EA games with Dragon Age: Inquisition. Welcome to the club. I hope you can stick with it. I'm telling you, everything in your life will improve. Even food will taste better.

Not sure how you could cut out BioWare games, they are too good.   Anthem looks freaking amazing!

It looks like an improved Destiny so it will have its market for sure and i hope it also delivers good gameplay on top of the looks.

Not even surprised anymore. It's just a fact that as long as people keep buying this pointless stuff then publishers are going to keep finding new things to sell to them. This is just what I've come to expect from big publishers like Activision, EA, WB and Ubisoft. I'm not personally affected by any of this since I don't even remember the last time I actually bought an Activision game, but for people who do it's just another thing sitting behind a paywall. By itself it wouldn't be a huge deal, but it's getting to a point where half of the actual game is unavailable to play for anyone who just bought the core game.

Good, well done, if you mention about things like voice chat, region locked or censorship from Nintendo, i will gladly agree, but with amiibo, many people don't use it for their games so..., if it have other option to use for many customers, then i can't agree with you
