BO4 is doing much better than previous titles. Last year's WW2 was at 230k after 2 weeks, BO3 was at 187k. And apparently BO4 is bigger digitally as well, so the gap is even bigger if we're talking total sales.

Battle Royale. PUBG is quite big in Asia, including Japan. So a much smoother/less buggy and better implemented AAA BR game has a big appeal. And Call of Duty has been a solid seller in Japan for a long time now, a very well established brand.
PUBG for instance was featured/parodied along such other games as Smash, Street Fighter, Dragon Quest, Super Mario, and Biohazard in the anime opening animation for 'Gamers'.
I expected switch to be 5k+ in average than that every week since September.
And expected splatoon 2 to never fall behind 10k until mid next year.
Smash and pokemon underperforming in COMG.
Idk, but I won't be surprised if it fall behind last year.
