Perhaps playing it portable won't be a good experience, but docked it is at least on par with PS3/X360 and this game was loved back them.

It isn't "on par" with PS3/360, those versions were sub-HD with drops below 10fps, while the Switch version is 1080p/900p and only drops into the 20s.

Bet with Liquidlaser: I say PS5 and Xbox Series will sell more than 56 million combined by the end of 2023. (And over 130 million lifetime)

AND a handheld.

What you have hooked up is a hybrid.

A hybrid what?

Hybrid console-handheld.

Considering all the time they have to port it, and I put "at least on par" seems like you preffered to ignore a part of the post, it is the minimum expected.

Considering the hardware and the delay it is a pretty barebones port, yeah, but still, it's a long way from even being "at least on par", I mean, even with the compressed audio we're going from sub-HD to 1080p-900p and stress points like Blighttown going from a practically unplayable 10fps ballpark to a fairly solid 30fps.

Ok I have no problem with you considering the game much better than the original rendition. The point is that it's a valid port to buy for someone that like the game and doesn't have a PS4.

Even for those who have a PS4, it's a valid buy; some people might like to play on the bus/train to/from work or on their lunch break.

That's a redundant phrase. It's a video game console. You can argue it is a hybrid of a handheld console and a home console, but it is still a console nonetheless.

See, it is listed here (under home consoles):

Funny you say that when a good amount of detractors have been saying part of the reason why the Switch is successful is because it's a handheld.

Did I say the switch wasn't a handheld console? The Switch is a handheld console that comes with an AV-out dock in almost every box. The only thing that makes it a "hybrid" is the fact that you can link multiple external controllers to it, and no other handheld console has done that before. Everything else is really just form factor and packaging.

Never said you did. Just saying that very few are considering that the Switch is just a video game console. Doesn't matter if its hybird, handheld, or hom console.
