I wonder what Fatslob thinks of DK numbers, a few weeks ago he was "concerned" about it and said a best case scenario was matching the Wii U versions sales.

Very good sales for Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze. With this, its position in the annual ranking of Amazon USA in 2018 and in the United Kingdom the game sold 57% more than in the first week of Wii U, I would say that it is almost certain that DKC TF will be a million seller in the next Nintendo report.

DKC opens super well. Lots of nice SW boosts. HW is healthy, but not great.

great numbers for DKCTF. I'm personally not rebuying it again but its good to see so many potential people that didn't own a wii u get to actually play the game on switch

Good question.  KH4 would have to come out and be huge and Spider-Man would have to be much, much, more popular as a game than ever before to even come close to that prediction. Idk, to me it seems like the ratio will remain about the same.

Last year PS4 sold 54% of NSW, if PS4 does 2-2.5 million and NSW does 3.5-4.5 million than that would be pretty much the exact same thing.

It all depends on where in that range the results end up. The split between Switch and PS4 last year in Japan was 65/35. If, for instance, the results end up at 2.25m PS4 and 3.75m Switch then the split would be 62.5/37.5 which is a 5 percentage point movement in terms of the split. As I said, I'm confident for now.

Total sales for the Wii U version of Tropical Freeze is 160k (VGChartz). It would be cool if the Switch version could  at least double that or outsell the 3DS version of DKC Returns (420k, VGChartz), or even better outsell the Wii original but that one ended up selling over a million so that might be a bit more difficult.
