Forums - Sales - Japan sales (Week 11): Media Create/Famitsu/Dengeki - March 12-18, 2018

Excellent for Kirby.

Poor for Attack on Titan. More than 50% drop with a popular new platform is added. Guess this one is two and done, just like Fist of the North Star Musou.

Media Create has an even worse rating for Kirby than MetaCritic. A bonafide flop..... wait.

Nice first week for Kirby, so we're looking at maybe 350k WW first week??

Way more. If the game is beating some of it's old record in Europe and NA. It could do that in 2 weeks easily. Xenoblade 2 shipped 1M in 1 month.

Kirby looked to be doing better than XC2, this means that it wouldn't be too far fetched to think that it would get 200k-250k in NA and 200K in Europe during it's first week. This means a 600K FW for the game, without digital include

Yeah based on Japan numbers I'd expect 600k FW for kirby worldwide.

Quest for 4th continues. It is a long dangerous road but it will get there. After that it becomes whole new ball game.

Ouch, PS4 back to its pre mhw average and Switch not doing so well considering it's kirby+splatoon2 bundle week. Bad week overall.

I expected Switch numbers to be around 70k but almost 55k is good in any case, great debut for Kirby and Splatoon 2 is unstoppable.

I expected 60k myself, but I’m more curious to see the result from now on. I think the baseline will be 50k going forward.

We will see, I definatly expecting much bigger boost with Labo launch.

Disappointing week for hardware sales.

Attack on Titan did alright first week. And Monster Hunter almost 2M+ retail only!

Solid debut for Kirby, especially on the current userbase.

The same can't be said for 3rd parties on Switch though, it seems that portability is not providing a decisive advantage at this point. AoT2 underperforms with the rest and Winning Post 8 comes after Vita version with abysmal sellthrough.

As for Gal Gun 2, replacing Vita by Switch brought nothing but significant decline. Quite a wrong move from Inti.

PSVita 6908
