The Wii had an exploit right with the launch game Twilight Princess. Don't remember how fast that was found.
And I doubt big impact on software sales. Using hacks for piracy is less attractive than it was two generations ago. The reason is are all the internet-dependant enhancements. Use a pirated copy and lose multiplayer, online leaderboards, events and stuff like that. So I pretty much doubt a measurable impact.
