Well, with the 3DS being phased out I don't think that was ever out of the question. |
The NSW is on fire, and I bet MH is coming to it in one form or another.

Woah. They should of teamed up with SONY a long time ago. Beyond my expectations more than 3 times the amount.
Monster Hunter has officially jumped out of being a japanese thing into a certified western market product.

650k out of 2m would mean a 32,5% digital attach rate which doesn’t seem too unrealistic especially considering the supply shortages it had. |
Err, you're right, my train of thoght was going wrong. So even the digital rate is in line with the tweet. So this tweet fully supports the 2M in Japan estimate.
Highly deserved! Game is absolutly amazing!!!

I have no idea of its numbers, but I do know it's a second re-release of an existing game, so I am not all that surprised.

But that would be 2m shipped + digital. So it's only 2m sell through if there's literally not a single copy on shelves, in warehouses or in transit in the whole country. I guess that's possible, but I'm still skeptical. |
Oh, you're right, Famitsu estimate was sold.
Doubt there are big differences though. It seems undershipped, so shelves are probably empty. So it leaves warehouses. But I think initial shipment was delivered to the retailers before release.
