Here someone praise Sony for Fate Grand Order. Why? This game is from Delightworks and published by Aniplex.

What is the role of sony in this game?

Yes . Sony dominate the globe no matter how you spin it. If aliens passed by and were asked what's the best selling console on that planet they would say ps4. Globally domination. Globally on the globe.

Spin!? You are crazy men, global domination means domination on evre market on globe, and fact is that Sony is not dominating in Japan.

No global domination means dominating the planet which ps4 does.

You're thinking  of cumulative individual country domination.

You can't downplay the ps4's global domination no matter how hard you try.

There is difference between global domination and best selling console overall. Fact is that PS4 dont dominating  globaly on evre market, also fact that Sony is not dominating in Japan is is not downplaying ps4 succes.

It's not dominating in North America and Japan, two of the three biggest markets in the gaming industry. Playstation has almost no presence in South Korea and China (although no home console does as they're PC oriented).

They only dominate in Europe.

Isn't that the point of this thread? Or are you changing that again?

No the point of this thread is to show how Japan is relevant and important.

But that would be focusing on one country. Isn't Sony is a global phenomenon? Make up your mind.

Interestingly Japan's percentage of Sony home console sales has been steadily decreasing since the PS1 (18% down to 8%). While US and Europe have remained steady, and the rest of the world showing growth. That would indicate that Japan isn't a priority to Sony, no?

Well Japan isn’t global, is it?

You don't make any sense, nobody said that Japan alone is global, but you can't say global without Japan market (strongest gaming market after US and Europe).

That’s not how it works. Global does not mean it has to win in every single country.

And the rest of the world in regions like Oceania, LATAM and the MEA.

Yeah, those 20k sales per week will really make the difference. /s

It's not a matter of home consoles not mattering in Japan anymore, like it's a definite conclusion, it's not necessarily true.

Improving the graphics isn't sufficient for consoles anymore, so people moved to portables because they're more convenient. And this trend is going to catch up to the rest of the world, mark my words.

If Sony had come up with a concept that attracted people to the console experience, they'd buy consoles again. And by that I don't mean secondary experimental shit, like PSVR and Move. Instead the basic console has to present intrinsic value for today's times. I hate to break to you, but most people don't care as much about the visuals anymore. You'll see next generation, take a seat.

The answer isn't just making a handheld and expecting to break Nintendo's turf from the Game & Watch to today, believe me that is hopeless. They can however re-invent the value of their home consoles and return to huge popularity.

I KNOW they are not gonna do that however. The global success of the PS4 will blind them. They're gonna take a tumble again for the next cycle. But look no further than the PS4Pro, people don't care. It's not gonna work.

PS4 has sold 11.7m in ROTW.

Will top 20m in those territories and pass PS3 next year.

I certainly wouldn't downplay the importance of those markets.
