I find it ironic that you and the other guy would attack Wii fans.
There is nothing wrong, and no shame in buying a console because it is cheap. RE5 is going to be a great game. Some people might not want to pay 400 dollars to play it, if they don't already have another next gen system. "Begging" is really an insulting term. We assume the Wii version of RE5 would be worth it financially for Capcom, based on RE4 sales. We also enjoy the Wii exclusive control scheme for RE4. Finally, its presence on the Wii would give the system more core gamer credibility from a 3rd party developer, which would be great for the system.
That said, I wouldn't beg for anything. I would state to Capcom via a petition that indeed I think RE5 for the Wii would be a good and profitable idea. That's the extent of my service to the game. If nothing else I'd play it on my PS3.
I can find it in myself to rise above petty insults against easy targets. Afterall, with the market like it is, and with the ammo Mario-Boys are packing, the PS3 and the 360 are setting ducks, but I digress.
When you lose, act like you like it. When you win, act like your use to it.
What do I think will happen?
Well, I think that RE5 will launch without much hurra, on the PS3 and 360. It'll be a relative dissapointment, scoring 8.5's and 4/5's, with a few 9's and 9.5's sprinkled in, just for those benefit of the doubt reviewers, most considering it a AAA title, but not at the level of RE4. Then, in about 3 years, in the twilight years of the Wii, Capcom will release its Resident Evil 5: Wii edition, and it'll probably sell more on the Wii than it did on the PS3, but slightly less than the 360. Gamespot will once again talk about how awesome the controls are, just like RE4:Wii edition. At that point, it will be largely irrelivant, however, since the war will be over, with the Wii the clear winner, and most of us will have played the game, and forgotten it already, but the hardcore RE fans like myself will still pick it up for the Wii, just because we loved the series since before Resident Evil 4 had a storyboard, and mosst likely the Wii: Edition will have at least some new content.
Hey, Patcher watch out.
