So, they are being selective with the type of games that they will be desperate for? Gotcha!

So, you didn't read my post? Gotcha!

What exactly I didn't read? If they're not into a game and are not buying, then they are being selective.

It sounds a bit contradictory with the notion that Switch owners are desperate for games, don't you think?

This thread has over 300 replies? Wow!

Some people feel threatened by a successful Switch and will do anything to see it fail.

Pro Switch threads get about 15 replies :) I love it when Nintendo are doing well.

Ok guys, here's some more gunpowder. EA is definitely holding back the Switch version when it comes to marketing, and the proof is easy to look up for yourselves. The Switch version has no trailer in the eshop, but instead three menu screenshots and three stadium screenshots. We already know that, right? So I looked into the Playstore to see if that's the case for the other versions as well and guess what? Of course the game has a trailer!

EA is definitely decreasing the Switch version's sales potential on purpose. There is no excuse.

On every video game forum that has sales threads.

It's no different to football fans arguing about their football teams. It's just human nature to fight like this.

There's a huge difference imo: football fans confront eachother in real life. I've never seen a console war being fought face to face. Although that would be something I'd like to see!

Yes because you put as much marketing investiment on the 60% market as in the 1%.

It happened during SNES/GENESIS era in some places.

Some people can't be serious with the sabotage idea.

My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.

Do you think it's much of a marketing investment to provide a trailer and screenshots that show gameplay on a digital storefront?

Probably not that much. But considering how many hours they would have to capture, post process and etc it isn't cheap as well. Will we put it on the sabotage front as well? Several games on PS4 store doesn't have trailers, some even AAA.

It's 1% of the UK market, not worldwide. Learn the difference.

Edit: What I mean is that one single trailer would lift the sales potential globally, not just in the UK. So a cost argument shouldn't brought up here. The costs can't be higher than a couple hundred sales. Seriously.

The question that needs to be asked is whether EA met acceptable minimum standards to market their game. Since every publisher on Switch provides a trailer as well as gameplay screenshots, it's certainly odd that EA - one of the biggest publishers around - didn't do it. It's perfectly fair to ask if EA wants the game to sell well.

What are the acceptable minimum standards? Does Nintendo have any policy for their eshop games? From what I heard Nintendo was responsible for Fifa 18 market on their eshop, heard here in this thread.

We don't have the numbers for the cost to be sure.
