Zelda and Mario Kart keep jumping back into the top 10 whenever Switch gets stock. They'll drop again next week and keep dropping until new stock arrives.

Great to Splatoon 2 in a non Nintendo  Market.

But the questions its how Z.Botw Have done better than Horizon ZD?? MK 8D get boost too ??

Nintendo UK Well come Back  :)

So Splatoon 2 outsells the original in the UK with a severely lower install base?

I think we can end the "flop" comments here
, especially considering not selling really well in the UK (which we don't even know is the case for Splatoon 2, if anything the opposite since it's selling at a faster pace with a smaller install base) isn't going to really even going to affect Splatoon 2 world wide sales much in anyway, cause if it did the original wouldn't of almost sold 5 million on the Wii U.

Not really, considering the original was a flop as well. Less of a flop, sure, but still looks like a flop.

Well, obviously with more than 4.5 million worldwide Splatoon isn't a flop. But UK? Well 177K. Tom Clancy topped it in a few weeks. GTAV outsold it more than 15 times. So yes, Splatoon is a flop in the UK and probably Splatoon 2 will be too. Still, UK seems to be of little indication towards worldwide success.

EDIT: A look further - Splatoon did double as much in other european countries: 316K in germany, > 400K in France. Both are much smaller markets for most games than the UK, including GTAV, Tom Clancy, Horizon etc. UK is special.

Few points about Crash and Splatoon 2 sales.

[Week 26, 2017] 01 (NE) CRASH BANDICOOT N.SANE TRILOGY (ACTIVISION BLIZZARD) > 110,000 / NEW
[Week 26, 2017] 01 (01) CRASH BANDICOOT N.SANE TRILOGY (ACTIVISION BLIZZARD) > 24,000 / > 134,000 (-78%)
[Week 26, 2017] 03 (01) CRASH BANDICOOT N.SANE TRILOGY (ACTIVISION BLIZZARD) - 18,000 / > 152,000
[Week 26, 2017] 01 (03) CRASH BANDICOOT N.SANE TRILOGY (ACTIVISION BLIZZARD) - 29,000 / > 181,000 (+59%)

So Crash in its 3. week sold more than it did last week (stock issues).

Splatoon 2 has 59% higher debut than Splatoon 1, its sold around 28k.

So at end:

01 (03) CRASH BANDICOOT N.SANE TRILOGY (ACTIVISION BLIZZARD) - 29,000
02 (NE) SPLATOON 2 (NINTENDO) - 28,000

So prety strong debut for Splatoon 2.

We are comparing the third week of Crash Bandicoot with the first week of Splatoon 2, and if a third week of a game is bigger than the first week of an other game I'd would consider this as really impressive.

I already tried to explain in my second post why install base is not the main reason Crash Bandicoot outsold Splatoon 2. And being the 3rd biggest Switch launch ever is not that impressive imo. Switch is not even half-year old, there haven't been much big game releases for it yet.

Crash Bandicoot sold in 3. week better than Splatoon 2 in its 1st, but that doesn't mean that Splatoon 2 bombed.

Crash is selling great in any case, but of course that Splatoon 2 would sell much better than it is if install base is bigger, and Switch instal base in UK is currently just around 200k.

Also few points, Crash is $40 game while Splatoon 2 is $60, and we have infos that last week Crash had stock issues and that this week shipments for game are bigger.

Splatoon has been crashed in the UK = Crash Bandicoot > Splatoon
Nothing more.

You cant spin this, you first said "that Splatoon 2 crashed", and then you said that you didn't said "anything negative about Splatoon 2 sales". You really don't know what are you saying.

New shipments or not, it doesn't change the fact that Crash Bandicoot sold in it's 3rd week better than Splatoon 2 in it's launch week and that is very impressive. I could also say that a lot people had to buy the game digital because there were no shipments available last week, this must have damaged the retail sales for Crash Bandicoot too. There is just no way to deny the great performance of Crash Bandicoot. You say that if the install base of the Switch was bigger, Splatoon 2 would sell more than Crash Bandicoot? I am pretty sure that in a few years (where the install base of the Switch will be bigger) Crash Bandicoot will still have sold more than Splatoon 2. I think Crash Bandicoot lifetime numbers will be higher than Splatoon 2 lifetime numbers in the UK.

The only thing I said was "Splatoon 2 has been crashed" which means that Crash Bandicoot > Splatoon 2. And this is the truth if you take a look at the chart. Stating a fact is not talking negative about Splatoon 2 sales, I never mentioned anything about Splatoon 2 sales if you read my first post closely. The only thing I said is that it is really impressive to see Crash Bandicoot > Splatoon 2 which is a positive thing about Crash Bandicoot sales.

Splatoon 2 did sell 59% higher than the original in the UK which is certainly a good sign of the franchise being bigger this time around in the UK at least. The good legs and prehaps bundles, taking just the much higher first week sales into account as well as it's much smaller install base than even the Wii U at the time of release, I think it could outsell the original in the UK in almost it's first year.

So while I think it will still do much better in other European countries, I still think Splatoon has a fighting chance of at least doubling it's original UK sales, not all hope is lost just yet.

Splatoon 2 is #2!
And MK8, Zelda and 1 2 Switch had a major boost!

Edit: And its good to see a certain user back in full force! Haven't seen you posting heaps!

Pocky Lover Boy!

I want to see the Queen of England do the Crash dance to celebrate the Bandicoot's achievement.

Looks like Activision Crashed UK's taste for gaming

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar

What are you talking about!? Who said anything about denial of Crash success, I wrote: "Crash is selling great in any case".

No, what I wrote is that Splatoon 2 would sell more than it is, and easily would sell more than Crash this week, because apparently difference between Crash and Splatoon 2 this week is only around around 700k, Crash sold around 29k while Splatoon 2 sold around 28k.

Your hole post sounded like you donwnplaying Splatoon 2 sales. For the record, Splatoon 2 sold more than 59% than Splatoon 1 on bigger instal base.
