I mean, that's only true if you don't include BotW's Wii U sales, which have topped a million even without digital factored in. Which would still put Zelda slightly above Horizon with your estimate.

Oh I wasn't referring to Switch+WiiU for Zelda. This thread was clearly created because VGC has the Switch version alone at #1, otherwise this thread could have been made a long time ago.

Also revising my original statement, VGC has Horizon Retail overtracked, so as of June 3rd Horizon is probably closer to around 3.7 or 3.8m

At least we can all agree both games are great regardless of what sells what :)

Are these physical sales only or both physical and digital sales combined ?

Why y'all mad? Cause Zeruda's p*ssy pops severely and Whore-i-Zone's doesn't?

You win if you get the reference.

Pretty great sales. Playerunknown's Battlegrounds on pc is close to 5 million sales. The game is still in early access...

Great numbers, but I'm pretty sure Zelda has a much lower digital attach ratio than Horizon. I can't see a lot of people buying digital for such a large game when Switch has such a small amount of internal memory.

Probably true, but what do we talk about? 10% vs. 20%?

Somebody else on here pointed out that Horizon's digital attach ratio is ~26%, based off Sony's last sales announcement for the game. Considering that at one point BotW retail had a more than 100% attach ratio with the Switch itself, it's safe to say it's significantly less than that. I'd honestly argue it's 5% at best.

These are bold assumptions, but if we go with that than it needs a few weeks more. As VGC is behind, probably even including digital Zelda Switch is over Horizon. Naturally it is at the time VGC is, if we look at WiiU too. Either way, both games sell pretty great.

my greatest games: 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024

10 years greatest game event!

bets: [peak year] [+], [1], [2], [3], [4]

Very impressive, still was surprising that it initially sold more than all Switch sales too

It's always good when the best seller is a really good game and not the same, n-th trite rehash of a FPS or sports franchise. Gratz Ninty, and show doubtful devs and publishers the good way!

You might want to wait until year's end to celebrate FIFA or CoD not being #1, because they're still very likely going to be.

Yes, I know, just enjoying the moment and daydreaming.

To bring up the Wii U version of Zelda for a moment, Nintendo's figures placed it at over 1 million as of the end of March (shipped + digital) so even with that version dropping off more quickly due to the Wii U's demise, it should still contribute close to 1.5 million by now, all told.

Who buys a Switch and no SanDisk Card? I'm sure almost everyone have one.

I don't have one and the 3 people I know with a Switch don't have them either. Yes we bought the game on a physical release and yes one day with enough EShop games I'll probably need one but to say most people would buy one with the console isn't right IMO.
