Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo leads Japan's First 6 Months of Sales

They tried to make Nintendo-like games, but I honestly don't think they ever expected them to be the huge successes that Mario Kart and Suepr Smash Bros. are, more that they're trying to fill as many genres as possible for potential buyers. They may not be on good terms with each other, but they'd rather them both be there than a situation where both of them are at risking failing or having to deal with outside threats.

Expecting sales on the same level as Mario Kart and SSB would be nuts, but Sony certainly didn't intend their games to become failures.

Your second sentence doesn't make any sense. Both of them want the other one to be gone.

I doubt that they want the other gone, unless they're sure that it's not going to cause instability for themselves, which they may not be.

???.?.?.

But this thread is about the first 6 months in Japan this year? Switch is the only one reaching 1 million.

And my post is about the hear and now.  Nobody expected it but ps4 somehow back #1. Almost 30k sales this week.  Insane for the summer baseline.

Then why don't you start yoour own thread instead of going off-topic in this one?

You probably wonder how many bicycles were sold when car sales figures are announced too.

Sometimes yes. Especially when someone claims that cars dominate while not mentioning bike sales.

I'm pretty sure Breath of the Wild isn't losing out any potential sales to Monster Strike.

Ps4 #1 selling console 2 weeks in a row in Japan. Looks like it's dominating now.

2 weeks counts as dominating?

Not only that he counts only 2 weeks like domination, but point that in those 2 weeks PS4 sold just 3-4k per week better than Switch that still has huge stock issues. :D

What Europe is for Sony, Japan is for Nintendo.

And is also off-topic, so get back on topic or find a more appropriate thread.

Yeeeeesss!! Call out the shady Kermit!

I'm impressed by how well the Switch has done so far. Per a million in less than four months with a March release, impressive.

The second half of the year will be I.N.T.E.R.E.S.T.I.N.G. Dragon Quest, Pokemon, and Splatoon with battle it out. Mario Odyssey coming out in October/November, and perhaps Xenoblade 2 as well. Switch and 3DS are heading for a nice holiday.
