Mostly Canvas Curse, Dream Course, Star Allies, Crystal Shards, and Squeak Squad.

Let me guess, you love Canvas Curse, Dream Course, Crystal Shards...

And hate Star Allies and Squeak Squad?

I'm the opposite lol

I didnt like Canvas Curse and Dream Course because I'm not a fan of the gameplay of those two games. Mostly cause of the genres both games are. I love Kirby's platformers.

Crystal Shards I didnt like how slow it was compared to the 2D Kirby games (and as a result the ones that came out after Crystal Shards imo felt better gameplay wise).

Squeak Squad I really enjoyed though there are far better 2D style Kirby games. Star Allies is one of my favorite modern Kirby games - alongside Triple Deluxe and Planet Robobot.

For me Triple Deluxe, Planet Robobot and Star Allies are my favorite Kirby games of the modern era (2010s and afterwards) - in similar fashion to how Kirby's Super Star, Kirby's Dreamland 3 and Kirby's Adventure/Nightmare in Dreamland was my top favorite 3 Kirby games in the 1990s/2000s.

Welp I'm on the side of really liking Planet Robobot and Star Allies, which has the best post game of any Kirby games(if you included all the added stuff post patches).

Return to Dreamland Deluxe did big on me to actually make me appreciate the game because I surprisingly never vibed with the original quite well. Felt too short, worst bosses in the modern era with Triple Deluxe.

... But that Magalor Epilogue ... It's a 10/10 Kirby peak moment. Made the original bosses tougher and far more interesting, great levels, cool skill upgrade system and Magalor just has one of the best character moveset in Kirby's history.

Hum ... Squeak Squad however ... Yeah, That one, I do not understand the high rating considering how short, easy and lacking it is compared to most others main games. Do love Daroach and his gang though.

Btb, do you play Kirby Mass Attack yet ? Not mainline but it's honestly one of the better "spin offs" games in the series.

I loved the demo of RS2, it's really good, but unfortunately I played it on my Steam Deck and the save didn't transfer to the full game as it should, so I didn't feel like playing through the demo again and decided to leave my playthrough for next year, maybe. It sucks cause I was really loving the game, but oh well.

Well to be frank, since the leveling in SaGa games is more about fighting stronger enemies than fighting loads of battles. It's technically not too hard to get through the prologue in like 2-3 hours.

Anyway, it is a deserved playthrough. Heard it runs great on Steam Deck so I'm sure you'll appreciate your time on it hopefully.

Oh, yes I runs perfectly on the Deck, it's just unfortunate that I have to start over. And that's my first SaGa game, hopefully the others are fun too!

Yup. I'd call Canvas Curse a platformer, but whatever you call it it's an awesome game regardless of what genre it is. Same for Dream Course.

Don't think Crystal shards is much slower than Dreamland 3. Both of the games kind of center around fun power combinations, and Crystal Shards has way more fun combinations.

Squeak Squad and Star Allies are stupid easy, even graded on the curve of Kirby games. Star Allies at least had the kind of fun bonus content, but I honestly can't think of any reason to play Squeak Squad over Amazing Mirror, Superstar, Planet Robobot, etc. It's fine, but it doesn't do anything that the other games don't do much better. At least the spin off titles offer something unique.

Speaking of Amazing Mirror - I tried it twice over the years and dropped it each time, just cant stand Metroidvania type of games.

I'll try it again in the future since its on NSO.

Amazing Mirror is my favorite Kirby game, specially playing with 3 friends.

Errrr... why would you? If you don't like that style of game, seems like you'd probably have more fun with something else.

Multiple reasons

1. I hated Banjo Kazooie and Super Mario Sunshine when I first got both games day 1 - years later after playing the games a 2nd and 3rd time, each time I played them, enjoyed them more and more to the point I would put these games on my recommended list.

2. I'm a big fan of the Kirby series and I want to at least try out all the games even the ones I dont like as much (like Dream Course).

3. Its on NSO, so might as well lol.

I've played Return to Dreamland on Wii but will play the NS version in the future.

Squeak Squad, from what I remember, enjoyed the gameplay and the characters introduced. Played it twice too.

I havent played Mass Attack but I did play Kirby's Avalanche (another one I didnt finish). I'll check out Mass Attack in the future too.

Costco has $50 eshop cards for $40.

Bought two of them and used it to redeem them for Switch Vouchers.

Luigi's Mansion 2 HD and Mario & Luigi Brothership are mine now.
