Getting back into Pokemon:Scarlett and damn is it still is in a very sorry state. Can Nintnedo do anything about Gamefreaks poor QC or is pokemon gonna continue down this road?

I know many assumed by Pokemon being announced for 2025 that it was an indication that they were going to spend more quality time on games before releasing them, but I don't buy that. Legends ZA announcement came *after* leaks of Switch 2 being delayed to 2025 came out. I think GF can't release that Pokemon game for 2024 because the console it is made for won't be out in 2024 and nothing more.

Will it be more polished because of the console delay? Maybe, but I wouldn't be surprised if Pokemon Legends ZA is gold, or will be soon, based on when they originally thought Switch 2 would come out, and they have already moved on to making the next Pokemon game, in their similarly rushed fashion as of recent years.

Hopefully I'm wrong and the above is purely a  coincidence.

Nah, Nintendo is most likely non-responsible for helping Gamefreaks disastrous dev scheduling. So buckle up and wait until the Switch 2 to get that game to run in acceptable form (which I think will even be somewhat difficult since the engine used for Pokémon is not adapted for the recent titles shift to open-world areas lol. Shit needs optimization)

Legends Z-A will be released on the Switch in 2025, and I suspect it to release sometime either Jan or Feb, before the rumored release of the successor in March 2025.

The story is Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is actually very good concerning Game Freak Inc. but the game just has a lot of bugs and empty space that will most likely never be polished out and filled in.

The scheduling of release dates for The Pokémon Company is equally shared between Game Freak Inc., Nintendo, and Creatures Inc. at 33%.
Most of the reasons that there is a 3 year gap between games is:

  1. Game Freak feels they can bust a mainline game out in 3 years
  2. Creatures Inc. needs a new line of Pokémon Cards, merchandise, and a new TV series every 3 years to stay relevant.
  3. Nintendo expects Game Freak to uphold the deal to release the mainline game every 3 years.

COO of TPC announced a while back that they will take the release scheduling a bit slowly. I assume Gen 10 to release 4 years after Gen 9 so Nov 2026. It is speculation and discussed in the community if it'll release on the Switch or the successor.

And I do agree that Game Freak needs to optimize their games better.

Lifetime Sales Predictions

Switch: 160 million (was 120 million, then 140 million, then 150 million)

PS5: 130 million (was 124 million)

Xbox Series X/S: 54 million (was 60 million, then 57 million)

Finished up Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

I did all of the races in 50cc, 100cc, 150cc and Mirror Mode - so pretty much the base game with all the Booster pack tracks.

I did try 200cc....its okay but I have a feeling I'm gonna get super burnt out on this late extra option lol

I did try out VS Battle and it was pretty nice.

I did try out online for both racing and for battle and it was fun too.

Wish you could modify what items to get (and to disable like coins and banana peels) for Grand Prix.

Can't Gamefreak just use the BOTW engine or unreal or something else? Nintendo dev teams have alot of experience with it.

Solid scoring. Have you not played Mario Kart Wii? I recommend it, it doesnt have the customization of 8/8D, and there is a true meta, but it is a great game. Not official but the MKW community is still very strong and alive.

But they publish the games no? So can't Nintendo intervene, put their foot down and demand better quality control?
