Golden Sun was GBA but yes.

AND THE DONKEY KONG COUNTRY TRILOGY!!!!!

Yes.

There's a rumor of a new DK game but it wont be a new entry (like a sequel or a prequel) but a remaster/remake.

I'm hoping its the DKC Trilogy - do a Super Mario RPG treatment!

I'm okay with that, if this is outsourced to a 3rd party, but I'd prefer Nintendo's internal teams to only make new games. Tropical Freeze was stunning for a 2d game. And while it gets dumped on a lot, I loved DK64. A spiritual sequel to either of those games is welcome to me. I really hope the Odyssey team made a DK game in the same vein, the most, however.

Yeah, a new 3D game needs to be made for DK - Kirby got one this generation so might as well make one for DK.

I don't know if I'd feel like giving a shot to another DK 3D platformer. The type of designs needed for the side scrolling games are completely different to 3D ones and that makes me afraid we could get something of 64 parkour accident again.

But it needs to fix the problems DK64 had. Adding the same quality of life updates that Mario Odyssey did would help. And maybe not go as nuts with the collectibles this time.

DK64 had great atmosphere and a decent bit of funky ideas. I think toning down the types of collectibles, even more than the quantity, would make for a great game.

On a side-note, Ie went back to my 3DS lately as I found a couple of games for cheap and I am considering searching for a New 3DS model. My original XL is generally fine but I like the 3D effect enough that I want to try the eye tracking found in the new models and the B button is becoming unresponsive. Also, some games get way to pixel-y on the XL so that's why I am leaning towards the normal N3DS model.

Yes, go for it. I have the New 3DS XL and the eye tracking 3D is fantastic.

I liked it personally but ya something like Odyssey would be perfect.

So Contra: Operation Galuga physical in Europe will be a downlode code in the box. WTF Konami?

Have to buy it from Limited Run Games now. Will be fun to play it when I get it 6-12 months after release...

Pretty much everyone is projecting or rumoring a direct for around the 9th at this point.

Really curious if Switch 2 will show up there. Switch was unveiled 5 months before it released. If they did that in February and had the same gap, we'd be looking at a July launch. Makes sense to launch it before the holidays considering even unpopular Nintendo consoles sell out in the holidays so that's a wasted time to launch.
