Yeah I'll be holding off on Splatoon Raiders for the time being. Could be fun, but I'll be prioritizing other games. Been having a TON of fun with Denshattack then got the Avatar Legends fighting game on Friday and Halo remake next week. Still got some great games to be playing!

M64 reviews are finally coming out, and so far, they're pretty decent to good, but the console could use some work. I may pick one up after a year's worth of updates. But the controller though.....is getting universal praise! Some have already declared it to be the best N64 controller ever.

Definitely gonna have to pick that up day one at least. Don't know if it'll work on Switch 2 at launch, but it's confirmed to work on original N64 hardware and PC. Which, considering the native PC ports for N64 games that have been released lately, it'll still get some good work in.

After watching the IGN review don't think Splatoon will be for me. Level design seems to be an afterthought but I'm curious how others are finding it?

IGN is about as trustworthy as a frog in a butterfly sanctuary.

Oh shoot! I almost forgot— today is Pikmin 4’s birthday!! Three years since the greatest non-Mario/Zelda game ever made released. Cannot wait to see what Nintendo (more specifically Miyamoto lol) has planned for the Pikmin 4 NS2 Edition! Easily my most anticipated NS2 Edition.

IGN gave the game one of its highest scores though, I imagine other reviews were less kind.  In the 9minutes of video footage I could also judge for myself though. It looks very much like a horde/loot collecting driven type experience versus a classical "campaign" but curious how anyone who's played feels on the topic.

In 12 hours time I'll be hauling my lazy arse down to JB Hifi to grab Raiders, will post impressions once I've taken it for a spin.

Quite excited actually, a single player focused Splatoon is something I've wanted for years now, as someone who likes the series gameplay but doesn't like online multiplayer.

The Duskbloods network test takes place next month, on the 21st-23rd of August:

This will be my first network test. I'm super curious about the game, as someone who worships Miyazaki but who doesn't really dig PvP.

Applications are now open: https://campaign.theduskbloods.jp/p/event/networktest/?region=the_americas&locate=US&lang=en#howtoapply

I hope I get picked!

I eagerly await your impressions. :) Super interested in this game. I’m thinking it’ll be a blast! I’m a big fan of Salmon Run, so a fully fleshed out single player version of it just sounds like a recipe for success.

Also, JB Hifi reads like such a silly name for a retailer to my American brain lol. I’m just gonna hit up my local Target (since they open the earliest: 8am).

Thanks for the reminder! Just applied. Hoping all works out for the both of us (and whoever else applies).

Got my copy of Splatoon Raiders today. I will wait to play it until tomorrow since you know, Nintendo do have the power to brick my console and all. Im a bit tired anyway, but excited to check it out.
