Made a head start on The Adventures of Elliot via the free demo, and it's really good.
Plays just like a 2D Zelda, with snazzy HD-2D graphics and a nice soundtrack. Another one for the Switch 2 collection.
I wanna see what a Donkey Kong 64 remake would be like. Letting the player switch Kongs anywhere without the Tag Barrel would be mandatory, and so would allowing fast travel anywhere in a level instead of having to remember where two specific Banana Port pads take you.

The time has come, Nintendo Clubbers! I'm going to run another informal comment contest for my latest review:
https://www.vgchartz.com/article/468204/call-of-the-elder-gods-xs/
Rules are simple: make a comment to be entered into a lotto (not counting any that have to be moderated). Max amount of lotto entries is one.
1st place: What I'm calling the "Out of the Blue Bundle": game codes for Call of the Sea, American Arcadia, & Call of the Elder Gods. Though the former two are also available on 8th-gen consoles, Elder Gods appears to be only PC, PS5, Xbox Series, & Nintendo Switch 2. If unable to acquire legit game codes, then I'll compensate their accumulative retail value with a gift card.
2nd place: 1 year of VGChartz Bronze (or the next higher tier should you already have that)
Deadline to enter will be 6/16/26 @ 11:59 EST

OT0 is one of the best RPGs of all time and that was another title they redeveloped from a mobile version, the 2D department in SE has been on point.

This looks incredible, but the camera movement could definitely be smoother. Hopefully they polish it before launch.

The Djinn system is good and varied in theory, but it's completely undermined by an incredibly unbalanced combat system. The fact that you can summon rush literally every boss in every game makes the whole class system pointless. Why waste your time trying different Djinn/Class combinations when you can just set almost all of them, vomit your summons and watch even the strongest superboss get dunked on in a few turns?
Not to mention Psynergy, which is the main attractive of trying different classes, is mostly useless or quite ineffective against bosses. You are better off just doing normal attacks and hope for weapon unleashes... which surprise surprise, are also broken (Meggido, Legend, Vengeance...).
Djinn themselves are cool for their different effects... but using them will weaken your class. So you end up only using the ones that are... broken. Like Petra, Humus, any Barrier one, the ones that seal enemy psynergy, etc. Relying on Djinn to actually battle is only good in the early game, when your summons and weapons are weak.
That being said, I really want a new Golden Sun game that fixes these problems, as well as the plain characters and the terribly boring dialogue.

I got the Ether Jet on Xenoblade Chronicles. Yeah, this thing is incredibly convenient and fun to use. Although once you unlock it, you lose a bit of the big "open" world feeling. And that is a huge part of what makes this game special to me. So I don't think I'll use it much unless I'm returning to a previously explored area for new missions or collectibles.
Just keep in mind that this mission will give you a whopping 10.000 EXP. In case you don't know: that's insane EXP at this point in the game. It made me go from LV 16 (good level for early Bionis Leg) to LV 22-23 (good for the end of Ether Mines). I had to activate Expert Mode and manually lower my level because I was destroying everything that would normally be a decent challenge in the zone.

Fire Emblem: Three Houses sold approximately 5 million units.

It's the best selling SRPG to ever come out of Japan.
Fire Emblem has a long history of connected games, so it's not surprising Intelligent Systems decided to return to the same world. pic.twitter.com/3W6PJIJEu7
