I wonder if Star Fox 64 and Ocarina of Time getting big remakes in Switch 2 is because this year is the 30th anniversary of the Nintendo 64.

I believe this should put into perspective just how big Ocarina of Time Remake is: nearly 200k Likes on NoA’s announcement post. These are numbers you wouldn’t even find on even the Smash Ultimate nor Tears of the Kingdom trailers. This game is going to move tens of millions of copies, no sweat.

Nintendo: Hey third parties, how many third person melee action games you got for me this year?

Upon revisiting some of Nintendo Direct presentations from early SW1 gen, I must say, Nintendo has improved their Direct presentations style tremendously. My favorite Direct for the longest time was the 3.8.2018 presentation, and after having revisited it, I mean… it was literally just a ton of third party games getting ports announced + Smash teaser & Octo DLC.

It’s crazy how high Nintendo has set the bar from last gen. What would be a grand slam of yesteryear is viewed by many as “No games!” today. We Nintendo fans really don’t realize how good we’ve got it sometimes… we literally have people who brush off games like Kirby Air Riders and DK Bananza as though their nothing, when if these were to have dropped during the Wii U days, these would’ve been hailed as among Nintendo biggest hitters of the generation. Just look at how Punch Out & DKCReturns are treated by comparisob.

And most of these are all coming out together in August-October; good eating for those who like third person melee action games, but I hope it doesn't cause too many of them to struggle sale-wise due to intense competition

One franchise I feel needs looking into again is Golden Sun, the Djinn system is one of the deepest as is the story.

Golden Sun, yet another RPG I’ve neglected. Man I really need to be better with my gaming variety… just this year alone I believe I’ve already run through like 7 or 8 different platformers lol.
