Upon revisiting some of Nintendo Direct presentations from early SW1 gen, I must say, Nintendo has improved their Direct presentations style tremendously. My favorite Direct for the longest time was the 3.8.2018 presentation, and after having revisited it, I mean… it was literally just a ton of third party games getting ports announced + Smash teaser & Octo DLC.
It’s crazy how high Nintendo has set the bar from last gen. What would be a grand slam of yesteryear is viewed by many as “No games!” today. We Nintendo fans really don’t realize how good we’ve got it sometimes… we literally have people who brush off games like Kirby Air Riders and DK Bananza as though their nothing, when if these were to have dropped during the Wii U days, these would’ve been hailed as among Nintendo biggest hitters of the generation. Just look at how Punch Out & DKCReturns are treated by comparisob.
