I mean... I don't think we need a "leaker" to point out what is obvious. Lol! From everything I've heard, though, it does seem like Ubisoft is already committed to a future for Rayman, having created an entirely new engine designed specifically for the game (seen in Legends Retold).

But that all being said: I'll consider picking this up at launch. I'd hold off for a discount if it weren't for the bundled in Rayman Origins Enhanced, which from what I can tell is a launch/pre-order exclusive bonus. Happy to support Ubi though if it means more fun 2D platformers!

I hate this remake/remaster logic, just make Rayman 4 you cowards lol. I have no interest in playing the Legends remaster/remake and TBH I'm only interested in a 3D rayman moving forward

Eh. I think it’s fine to do this honestly… it gives a gauge for how much they should invest in a new Rayman all while giving some extra spotlight to the franchise in preparation for its big return.

I think it makes sense when the remake is actually a forgotten game or something without a modern incarnation but Rayman legends was ported to like 7 different systems, came to Switch in 2017 + holds up incredibly well and not that forgotten at all imo. So essentially it makes for a bad case study on the interest in the franchise Similar to TLOU Remake for PS5 (also another 2013 game with an uneeded remake)

On a positive note, I  do love the graphical presentation

I disagree as it's down to them to generate the interest in their games, a 3D game is not going to be the same experience as the 2D ones for a start so the 2D game selling well says nothing for the 3D variant.

About time Elden Ring showed up.
It's not my thing personally, but for those awaiting it, it took a long time considering it was announced back last April at the system's big reveal Direct.

Been playing FF7 Rebirth, about 4 hours in now; good game. Being a PS5 port the compromises are more noticeable than in Remake, but it's still a quality port. Still feels surreal to see it on a Nintendo system, but in a good way.

I feel like as more time passes and developers become more accustomed to NS2 hardware, the Switch 2 could genuinely become the main priority for many third-party developers over the next decade. Perhaps the average joe will notice a difference in playing Hogwarts Legacy at 720p 30fps on Switch 1 v 60fps 4k on PS5, but once you start charging $800USD for that 60fps 4k experience compared to 30fps 4k/60fps 1440p on a system with consistent quality exclusives (in addition to being portable), I think Nintendo is primed to dominate the third-party software market over the next decade.

This in addition to devs becoming more accustomed to NS2 hardware (as is already somewhat seen when comparing third-party software of last year to this year... Yooka Replaylee is a solid example of this), we're gonna be seeing some very visually impressive games running on Switch 2 hardware in upcoming years.

Not Nintendo news but we'll still welcome it.

Oh! And also, it's looking very likely that FFVII Part III will be getting its grand reveal tomorrow. It has leaked that lead developer of the game will make a surprise appearence at IGN Live. Especially with FFVII Part I/II having just dropped across Switch 2 and XBSXS, it'd make sense that we'll be seeing part III drop in Q1 2027.
