Next week will be 12 months since launch, I still maintain S2 is the strongest first year of any platform by far even over S1, the year has been better than most platforms most stacked year, titles I've picked up so far off the top of my head.

DKB, MKW, RE9, Pokopia, Tomodachi, Pragmata, Octopath 0, Bravely Default, Prime 4, Tales of Arise, Silk Song, Hades 2, SF6, Fatal Frame 2, MH Stories 3, DQ7R, DQ1/2/3 HD2D, FFVIIR, Fallout 4 AE, Trails Sky 1st, Fantasy Life, Cronos, Persona 3R, Yoshi MB, SW Outlaws.

This is already more I've gotten for some platforms when they're past half way of their run.

I hope someone will dare do the Switch 2 anniversary thread by Friday. Gosh it's almost been a year and I'm quite clear on my mind about this one in comparison to the OG Switch first year ...

Arguably, it hasn't replicated the incredible strong punch of Mario(+Kart), Zelda, Splatoon and Xenoblade but I'd argue it's third party support and relatively stable 1st party releases made this into an incredible first year nonetheless.

I pretty much had 11 Native Switch 2 games to my account, which is miles better than the 6-7 I had with my Switch back then. Also, it took a good while to get unglued from the aging 3DS which was still receiving great software that year !

There's a really weird combo going recently while juggling the coziest almost stress free experience of Yoshi's latest venture against the more hardcore indie Mina the Hollower.

Both really addicting in their own right, but gosh Mina really is becoming low key my GOTY !

Hey! I’m also juggling both those games, although focused mainly on Mina at the moment.

It’s a weird combo, but it works :)

For a moment I thought this was the Blobber's project M. Now I am curious on how both games will work

Tomb Raider Legacy of Atlantis is coming to Switch 2:

Does Nintendo Music require an NSO subscription even to access it through the Nintendo Today app?

After 36 hours of playtime, Mina the Hollower has been completed! If you want a score, I’d say a solid 9.5. Anybody looking for a game to scratch that 2D Zelda/Link’s Awakening itch, I highly recommend this game. This is easily some of the most fun I’ve ever had playing a video game.

Not gonna say much more than this— play it for yourself. And if you aren’t a fan of a game that can take challenge just a taaad bit too far, luckily this game offers a catalogue of modifiers for you to tweak the experience as you so please.

Spoiler!

Onward to Yoshi! I’ll get started with that on Saturday, back on my usual weekend gaming routine. Also planning on double-dipping Mina via purchasing a physical copy for NS2– this would be in addition to my digital NS2 copy. I only do this for games that I really enjoy. That and Yacht Club needs all the support they can get, so I’m happy to fork over the extra cash.
