Realized today that I own more Switch 2 games in under a year of the system's life (23 to date) than I did for the Wii U in it's entire lifespan. (19 total)

Off to a good start, but a long way to go before it tops the hundred plus games I have for Switch 1.

I’ll keep an open mind to this game… my eye’s been on it for a while, though I’d rather not overwhelm myself. I’ve already got Bubsy, Yoshi, Mina, Dusk, Star Fox, Rhythm Heaven, Splatoon, and Fire Emblem all lined up these upcoming few months, no time for a SquEnix RPG in July. I’m also hoping to hit DKBananza this summer.

I feel ya, I am swamped with all the games I have on my plate already, and I there's a half-dozen more coming over the next month or so.

I will definitely be picking up Adventures of Elliot though; I've always liked the HD-2D art style but every previous game using it was turn-based so I couldn't play them.

Furukawa has stated in an interview that going forward the number of Nintendo Directs will be reduced and more announcements will be done via the Nintendo Today app and Nintendo News channel on the Switch and Switch 2 at more random timings as opposed to scheduled NDs. Interesting shift for the company who pioneered the Direct in general which in turn went on to topple the era of event based announcement news as many companies switched to the format which contributed massively to the fall of media event E3.

But I was hoping for a new Direct soon. -_-

We'll have fewer directs but they're likely all going to be more focused as a number of announcements will be fished out and just done via the app.
