Just did a runthrough of the tutorial fro Bubsy 4D... wow what a fun little indie game this is gonna be! I spent 2.5hr just trying to hit the 1:30:00 challenge time. Movement is among the best I've ever felt in a 3D platformer. Far better than Astro and most Mario games. Much much stronger impression than DKBananza was giving.

If you're looking for a game to scratch that SMOdyssey itch, Bubsy 4D is definitely something worth checking out. It's a short game, but I don't believe the intention is to do single runs through each level; rather, it is to replay each level to the point of mastering it.

According to Reggie, the NES and SNES Classic were made pretty mcuh solely cos they knew Wii U was dead and Switch was years out, so they needed something that would actually sell in those intervening years:

Was gonna do a thread on this but decided I’d just post here: What is your most anticipated NS2 Edition?

For me, I’d say top of the list would be Pikmin 4 (and perhaps Pikmin 3 if Nintendo would be so generous and willing), Paper Mario TTYD, M&L: Brothership, Echoes of Wisdom, and Smash Ultimate. I would also say MK8DX… but I don’t see that happening. No chance Nintendo’s gonna risk eating away at MKWorld’s legs.

Games that need a S2 version are XBC2, TW3 and Nier:Automata.

Ah you just reminded me: Every Xenoblade game on Switch is in dire need of a 60fps patch. That definitely sits top of the list, especially the first game (since I can't play the others until I've gone through the OG).
