It’s crazy to think just how kong it’s been since Metroid Prime 4 was originally revealed… not only was I still in middle school, but also, MP4 was the third Nintendo game reveal I had ever witnessed. (The previous two reveals were Xenoblade Chronicles 2 & Kirby 2018 (Star Allies), all three from E3 2017. I started my time with Nintendo with the launch of Switch.)

The time elapsed between Metroid Prime 4’s reveal and release is larger than the length of any generation of Nintendo consoles, including Nintendo Switch.

That said, to say I can sympathize with those anxious Metroid fans as they await their long awaited entry would be an understatement.

They did redo the game from scratch three or so years after the reveal, other companies would have just scrapped the project entirely tbh especially as nothing but a logo had been shown look at the Perfect Dark fiasco with MS earlier this year for reference.

Nintendo has more common sense than Microshaft.

MKWorld not being nominated for Best OST at TGA is making it very difficult for me to take this award show seriously. I cannot believe one of the greatest OSTs in video game history just got snubbed in the category it should’ve won.

Huh… so I guess there really was nothing to worry about. MP4B is gonna be 10/10.

I told you TGA were full of shit. They just don't like anything involving Nintendo, which is why Nintendo almost never wins Game Of The Year.

Even worse, they showed a conceptual "demo" a year before the cancellation. Imagine if Nintendo done that before restarting development with Retro Studios ...

Honestly, if the Xenoblade games were the only Nintendo games to get near that award, I fear to say most Nintendo games will never get a chance at that specific award, despite some fantastic scores.

Anywoo, it's just another year as usual with the uninteresting TGA's ....

Yeah the TGAs suck; they're primarily a vehicle for obnoxious advertising, and the same kind of pretentious wankery as the Oscars.

Nintendo's games don't really fit with their "games are serious art dude" mentality.

^This. And George C Scott said the Oscars were a god damn meat parade. He was right.

I don't know what the criteria for original music in Best OST is for TGA, but I imagine it's not as strict as the Academy Awards (Oscars).

MKW does deserve a nomination.
