Nah, positive curl is boring. I demand we bring back Nintendo hating curl. That guy is hilarious!

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

It all depends on the Switch itself. As I said in another thread, the Switch generation will most likely see the comeback of evergreen titles that will keep selling for the whole lifespan of the console.

I think all three titles have a chance to hit 10m but I wouldn't want to make a prediction yet. Zelda is looking good but will Splatoon 2 be exciting and different enough from the original? Will Mario be as high in quality as Galaxy was? We don't know yet. Legs (especially when we're talking real long-term sales) depend on word of mouth and quality. The other two games need to deliver or they'll stop selling after a few months.

So you think... Breath of the Wild will be the best selling Zelda ever (TP Wii+GC = 8.75m)

Splatoon 2 will over double it's predecessor?

Mario should do it, Zelda... I'm not sure about, Splatoon 2? doubt it.

The chance that all 3 happen is very low.

Splatoon 2 has the obstacle of Nintendo's first online subscription, as I believe most buy it for online multiplayer its legs are going to suffer.

If the Switch sells 70m+ lifetime, then it should be easy for Mario Odyssey to sell more than 10m. I'm not sure about Zelda and Splatoon though, maybe 8 million?

Honestly, with the sales momentum its having, I think Curl's prediction can be right, and at the very least BoTW can be the best selling TLoZ game. It is pretty much the first game anybody gets when they get a Switch, and it is what the Switch is known for. It is also the most accessible Zelda game in the series, and has attracted many new people.

It's what the Switch is known for now, it was basically the only noteworthy launch title, if you bought a switch for something other than Zelda you were insane. Now we have Mario Kart, soon Splatoon/Arms and Mario later this year. There'll be big games other than Zelda to talk about in relation to the Switch.

Sure, but Zelda has the benefit of being in all of the big coverage of the console, and then when the DLC packs release it will be in it the spotlight again.

Here is how it is fairing against Twilight Princess right now.

Odyssey most likely, Zelda hopefully, Splatoon I'm not sure if it'll attract many more sales than the original did. It seems to pretty much be the same game, and while it has a system that will probably sell better than it's predecessor going for it, it also has to overcome the hurdle of paid online this time.
