Although i'm disappointed, it should be expected: Nintendo is keen on making 3DS live another year. What better title than a Pokémon game.
As much as Pokémon Company doesn't like it, Nintendo does not have a sucessor in the making. They will need to move on to Switch.
If that doesn't happen next year, then, it will be bad news for Switch.

MHXX sold comparatively bad. Hence the Switch to the Switch.
So let's not buy UltraSun/Moon and hope they bring it for Switch. It sucks anyways, that Gamefreak makes now Ultimate editions of games.

Anyway I still think that Nintendo will port them on Switch in the future. They did it already with Mario Kart and Monster Hunter so why not another big franchise? It's fast and easy money for Nintendo.
Edit: Nevermind, they have already announced it alongside Pokken DX and I didn't knew it before making my post. But I was right about it!
I'm still pretty sure it was a mistake that was covered up and they weren't ready to announce it yet,. I'm expecting at least a trailer clip for it on Switch at E3

In my opinion the N64 was not just the best console of the 5th gen but, to this day the best console ever created!
