Btw - that's a fairly big bump for the PS4 on week #44 (jump from 150k to 600k) which should have been around 9/14, by my calculation. Anybody know if it was due to something "big" coming out that week or whether it was a price cut? Again - I'm just too damn LAZY to do my own research, and figured some of you guys would likely be able to answer this without my having to dig around... :)

For your first question: As it currently stands, Switch passing PS4 on week 43 is quite possible. If Nintendo adjusts their fiscal year projection up by any amount when they release the quarterly report on October 30th, then I'd say it's a sure thing.

For your second question: That was the week when Destiny released.

Yeah, the PS4 got a nice bump there, was there a big game release?

After that, Switch should be in front until week 44 (Destiny release), at which point the holiday season for the Switch is over and the PS4 will push forward again.

I feel like Switch's market penetration in Europe is insufficient right now. Nintendo can count itself lucky that Japan is making up for it.

Japan can prove itself a valuable asset when it comes to tapping into its portable market.
