I'd hardly call it finished. It's just finished at full price. It will recieve a nice boost to it's legs when they drop it to $40, and another nice boost when they drop it to $20, and another nice boost if they release a GOTY edition bundled with the planned singleplayer DLC. BoTW will stay at full price alot longer because Nintendo is basically the only publisher out there that can get away with staying at full price for many months.

Yea but then they are making way less profit on each sell, so in a profit comparison it is finished.

Wait how are they making way less profot on each copy of HZD sold? It is still full price and being bought so how are they making less on  each sell when the game is still selling it for the release amount? So how is it finished even in that comparison? Maybe you worded that wrong or something.

And the poster shikamaru qouted said HZD is finished in sales.....even though it is still selling. So that just made no sense at all lol seeing as that is FACTUALLY incorrect.

Wow so many weird games to have higher than they should be. Also BotW has left HZD in the dust with its sales HZD is finished while BotW will keep selling years from now

Come on no at this point it won't ever outsell Zelda BotW at full price while even 1-2 switch is competition for HZD just look below:

Forget Zelda, 1-2-mother-fucking-switch back in the top 10, what the fuuuuuu

Zelda still holding off others and random jump for uncharted 4, I wonder what that's about.

It's actually outselling Horizon in US for some weeks now. It's quite shocking. :o

A couple of responses might say
Switch: Have no games besides....... That is why the sales are.....
PS4: There is too much games which is why the sales........

And they'd be right.  the less games to choose from the higher the sales of those games will be and visa versa.

Nope lame excuse. They said that for every Wii game and every Wii U game when their libraries became so big that the backlog effect would start same with 3ds, Minecraft and GTA V. Its just fact that some games will sell for years while others won't last a month. It depends on the game regardless of other software available at that time or not. BotW will sell for years after this when so many great games will be available to choose from because it is that damn good while HZD would have stalled even if new games did not release for the PS4 the weeks leading up to this update

But where in his post did Shikamaru say that HZD WOULD outsell Zelda BoTW for you to even make that statement? YOU made the incorrect statement saying that sales for HZD were finished....he just corrected you....that's all.

WTF? Uncharted 4 at number 2? How did that happen?

Nothing new (well Yokai-Leela)

10 years greatest game event!

Zelda isn't selling merely due to lack of options, it's selling because it's a breakout masterpiece. When Switch has ARMS, Splatoon 2, Xenoblade 2, Skyrim, Mario Kart, Minecraft, Sonic Forces, Sonic Mania, Fire Emblem, Fire Emblem Warriors, Mario Odyssey, and more, Zelda will still be selling great.

Some of the Wii U software wouldn't have been bad though.........

Some games whether good or bad bomb for various reasons.  It's a fact though that with less competition your game sells more.

Titles like Assassin’s Creed black flag,  killzone etc sold more on ps4 then they would have normally at launch because there was a lack of competition.

If say 10 other AAA titles as good as them launched with the ps4 I guarantee you they'd all eat into each others sales and sell less individually.

When you have difficulty outselling 1-2 switch you are basically finished. I don't think it will even outsell that game except for a couple of weeks so the game is finished.

Yeah that's what I have been telling these people and they argue even though they know its true. MK8D, spla2oon, Zelda, Mario Odyssey and maybe even ARMS will be selling years after the games have been released cause that's just how it is

Fun and awesome games keep selling a long time after their release regardless of any other software or lack thereof and the other games will stop selling at least at full price regardless of other software or lack thereof

It's not like other big games have released on the PS4 since HZD released.

I'm quite sure you're right. If they had, Zelda wouldn't be number 1.

Well, it wouldn't be number 1 if there were other big releases on the Switch. Since HZD released the PS4 has had:

MLB 17

Persona 5

Ghost Recon

Mass Effect: Andromeda

Kingdom Hearts 1.5 + 2.5

Nier Automata

Lots of options.

We will see. But it's not like there's a lot of great games in that list. It's still only a handful of big games.

That will still not change anything, Zelda BotW will still keep selling much better in any case, it's basically must have game for system alongside MK8D.
