They should have released a perfectly optimised Persona 4 Golden for Vita in mid 2009. It would have been 2 1/2 years before PS Vita released but that would have been nice!

Don't take my post too serious, I just thought that this would be also a reason releasing that late regardless of if Switch will ever get that game which will be probably not the case. 

Especially with the massive growth P5 is showing for the series. They should let that sell for 2 years before releasing a new version.

I wouldn't be surprised if a version does eventually come to Switch, but I'm not sure it would be that soon. The mainline Persona games and their portable versions and such don't tend to release very quickly.
