Its also 10 years old though.

And yet is running at higher resolution and framerate. Makes you wonder which game is 10 years old.

You can run Tetris at 4K and 120fps a lot more easily than Horizon, precisely because the game is a lot older. Your own argument is against you here ^^.

You can also run Horizon on a much higher resolution and framerate. Oh wait, you can't because it's confined to a potato toaster.

The game has been in development for around 4 years by a huge team. It likely has a bigger budget than most online games and more unique gameplay assets.

I understand this is troll/parody but there is very easy distinction between this and certain other titles which have been accused of being over price, so its not a very good parody.

Also in order to make their money back they probaly need to charge around $60. Especially since Guerilla do not an amazing sales history.

Isnt the game like 1080p 60fps? I mean how high can you go until it just becomes overkill?

Look at how short and small Resident Evil VII is. It's more than worth it's price tag for the quality content we received with that game, plus the story isn't over with the free "No Hero" DLC coming out. It's replayability is fantastic with the new items and you're very encouraged to go for the platinum trophy because of this.
[...]

I paid only 29 € for RE7 at launch though.

I don't know, offers were all over the place for some reason. I did buy the PC Version, but even with that in mind it was abnormally cheap. I honestly don't know the reason for that, but I won't complain about it either. ^^

Finished RE7 three times in less than 20 hours and I gladly paid $60 for it. So if I can milk at least 20 or so hours from the game, sure.
