Obama also enforced a temporary ban for visa holders from Iraq for six months. The difference is that it wasn't framed as a "Muslim ban."

And this is the difference:

http://heavy.com/news/2017/01/barack-obama-ban-refugees-did-iraq-iraqi-muslim-trump-jimmy-carter-iran-iranian-immigration/

I see. I stand corrected.
This does not, however, mean that Obama is blameless, as the law was crafted in such as way as to provide predecent for this executive order.

I laughed at the "passed as part of an omnibus spending bill" bit, though.

It's not nonsense. Had they left the comments section open it would have been a mess of arguments and name calling and that wouldn't have done anyone any good and I'm sure that's not the type of conversation Insomniac wants to facilitate. As I said, there are certainly ways to get in touch with them that are not only still open, but are probably more likely to get them to actually read your opinion. If it matters to you, email them. It's certainly better than getting lost with 20,000 other Youtube comments. If you want something more convienent, contact them on Twitter.

You specifically said it was censorship and it's not. Also, I'm not trying to demonize you. I'm mearly pointing out that there are still ways for you to express your opinion, both to Insomniac, and to others on the internet, without Youtube.

You said "If you just want to vent some frustration" that right there, you're trying to demonize me, as in "look at this guy, he has issues that need venting".

And no, comments on YT can stay civilized and constructive, and they actually give you a better idea on how other people see the issue. Not letting your potential customer base express their opinion, it’s like doing the head in the sand thing.

This man thinks YT spark civil and thoughtfull debates, hahahahaha. Now that's a hoot, a real knee slapper.

And what's there to express? I'm pretty sure it boils down to conservatives support the ban and liberals oppose. There's the opinion and stance from both sides, now move along, you're making a scene over nothing.

Its still going to be a country of immigrants with a VERY diverse population, we'll still take more immigrants than any other country (regardless of population percentage spin) and we'll still give money to native Americans because they weren't destroyed ("destroy" would mean they don't exist).

Its not an Islam ban, plenty of Islamic countries were excluded. European countries are closer to Islamic countries, so naturally those countries will have a higher percentage of muslims. With that said, who has more Mexicans than the US? European countries are vastly more white than the US.

From my understanding the ban is just temporary as they figure out a better vetting process. So we'll have to wait and see how that goes. But again, if this was really about stopping muslims from coming in then there would be a lot more countries banned.

Yes, fixed number is huge yes on immigrants to the USA. But to be hones the best way to see if your population is diverse in Ethnic and culture you need to see it in percentage compared to the native population(which is hard in the USA ). In the USA most of the immigrants will come from South America. And remember that most white USA people are immigrants from Europe or from Israel! (as there were no white people in America before 1492. (maybe a few Vikings who couldn't go back to their own country) because how diverse is USA in reality. How much more foreigners are you seeing when you go to do your shopping? Absolute numbers doesn't say anything if the total population number is huge. For example: In the US there are around 158k Syrians (some born in the US some are refugees and some are just economical immigrants)  USA has around 325M people. How often will you meet one of the 158k Syrians in the US in reality? (yes only in the larger cities once in a while) In the Netherlands there are approx 64k Syrians and in total there are +/- 17M people living in this small country! You see? So that's why the % is a better way of seeing it!! Ofcourse Syria is in closer to our borders it's obvious Syrians will come first to Europe countries. But absolute numbers don't mean anything if you compare it to the total population! If a country only has 50 people and there are suddenly 20 immigrants from different countries this is a very diverse population!

As you mentioned correctly outside Mexico, the USA has most Mexicans of the world.
How would you define White People? I know in the USA they use for example Caucasian or Hispanic when you have to fill in the form for the border. But in reality the Hispanic are descents from people from Spain and Portugal so they are Caucasian. I think Caucasian is not even relevant, because between Caucasian Descents there are so many differences. Is someone from Spain in your eyes white? Is someone from Turkey white? Or from Italy or Greece?

In the US I find statistics tend to lump groups together. Sometimes its just white (includes hispanic and latino), black, other. Sometimes they seperate white, hispanic, latinos, so that varies. But non-latino/hispanic whites are almost always lumped together, plain ol' caucasians are just one group.

While the US is still predominately white (not hispanic or latino white), our population isn't as predominately white as many other western countries. Because of our large black, hispanic/latino, and various ethnic immigrant population we're a melting pot like no other.

I think if you will really look into this. I don't think USA is really different with the rest of the western countries.
And if you compare USA to complete Europe, I even think that Europe has a bigger diversity in Ethnics, cultures and races. But I can't find any reports on complete Europe, so I base this on the diversity of all the countries in Europe!!

Let's stop the interesting discussion and wait and see what comes out of this.

I've looked around the conclusion I've come to is most western countries are more white than us. I gave numerous reasons why that is.

Anywho, I'm not being proven wrong so this discussion doesn't need to continue.

Frankly I can't support Insomniac Games push for any political platform ...

Partisan politics shouldn't have to infect a professional workplace such as a game developer studio ...

"Being a force for good" ? LOL, the CEO is drunk on hubris just like the mainstream media is ...

What about when politics affects your professional workplace?

If this affects emplyees or employee families then it has an effect on the business.

If this prevents you from hiring a talented worker then it has an effect on your business.

If this makes people in eligible countries not want to work in the US then it harms talent aqcuisition.

anyone who says that probably follows a shitty 'news' station like Breitbart or Infowars, which are probably as unreliable as fox/cnn.

Less reliable to a degree that is hard to quantify.

One of them has had several people leave to become members of the current administration (after spending the entire election season praising Trump while attacking anyone who dared question him). The other is run by a man who thinks the Sandy Hook shooting never happened, and thinks that the US government has a weapon that can make tornados.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

I live in one of the states that's suing Trump so that's pretty much that and I don't need to contact my local government officials lol. Yates was stepping down in a few days before she got fired anyways, at least she will go down in history as more of a hero than somebody who will be hated. At this rate, Trump will top Nixon in the most hated presidents list in no time.
