They don't have to cater to individual console makers anymore. EA doesn't need to bow down to Nintendo. Hell not even Sony or MS if they don't want. They could just as easily put it on Origin. Same with SE, Ubisoft, Activision CD Projekt Red, etc. The days where Nintendo gets to rule with a iron fist is long past. There are options now and 3rd parties are the ones in control. Sony and MS know this and that is why they bow down and make sure that their systems meets their demands. Nintendo refuses to play along and therefore get left behind.

Nintendo is the one who needs to get with the times. Its already too late for Swiitch. Hopefully Nintendo gets with the times next gen. Because AAA 3rd party won't be on Nintendo unless Nintendo makes real hardware.

I'm glad that Nintendo's dominant days have passed. That developers have become lazy and incompetent enough to not being able to create software for several different consoles with different architectures is just as troublesome as Nintendo's position in the 80's and 90's.

they do make software for several different systems just not Nintendo ones.

Didn't Titanfall 2 kinda flop?

It was still an excellent game. One of the best Single Player campaigns of the year and a great MP to boot. The blame for it's lack of performance can be blamed at EA. Who the hell thought it would be a good idea to force Titanfall 2 to come out during such a packed time of the year. And with little to no marketing too. Seriously. WTF EA?

"In video game terms, RPGs are games that involve a form of separate battles taking place with a specialized battle system and the use of a system that increases your power through a form of points.

Sure, what you say is the definition, but the connotation of RPGs is what they are in video games." - dtewi

Not only that, the DLC maps for Titanfall 2 are free. They aren't pulling the crap that CoD, Battlefield, or most games do. Honestly more people need to buy TF2. If you get the whole game for $60. Which is RARE these days.

You can say it however you like, but Nintendo getting less games is never good.

I depends of your definition of "good". Yes, it´s likely not the best financial decision but if Nintendo´s views on design and content over graphical capability for the last 10-15 years start making headway, we might start to see a shift in the console industry with less focus on horsepower and more focus on value in games. In that case, their decision if good in the long run.

It's underpowered for a console, it's solid for a handheld.

They released Titanfall 1 week after Battlefield 1... Of course no other game is  going to get any attention.

My point. To what end? What would have it taken o have released the game now. When the window is a bit more clear?
