Was getting so annoyed when some achievement popped up on my xbox when playing FF15. Here I am playing and all of a sudden it says "congrats, you got all 13 royal arms" I"m like what, no i haven't. But then a cutscene started and by the end of the cutscene I had the final piece.

I was like "thanks for ruining that for me achivement"

Pretty sure those are stats, not achievements. It's a Splatoon game card because I love Splatoon, I'm not on here shouting my Battlefield, Destiny, Halo, or otherwise stats. I have that in my sig because Splatoon rocks and I wanted to show that I love it, not because I feel like I have achieved something in it. Thanks for the immediate pessimism though, that's a great way to live life.

I don't personally care for achievements, but we can't tell if the Switch will have them... yet.

How is that different from what you went on attacking achievements for?
That's a "look at what I did" thing just as well, showing people how much you advanced and achieved on it (levels and ranks).

And pessimism about what? Where did I ever display any kind of sentiment on my previous post?

Because I'm not interested in what I did on the game, or touting it to anyone. You're reading entirely too much into that game card.

Achievements is just developers easy way out to make people play their short games longer then what they have to.

(not counting longer games like Witcher 3 etc etc)



If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

They do paid online, but not adding in achievements. Dumb nintendo logic. I'm hoping they add them in soon. It's one of the main reasons why I'm not getting it day one.

Gonna make me do something I didn't want to in a game. Fight giant turtle in FF15 is one achivement. I have all but 1 achivement in the game. Was curious the other day to see and was surprised that i managed all but 1 on my own.

Needless to say being one short is a pet peeve. So I'lhop on some day and kill the beast.

Does My Nintendo count?

Super Mario Run and Miitomo have achievements tied to My Nintendo...

How they integrate My Nintendo into a larger game like Zelda could be interesting.

How they could possibly integrate it into 3rd party games even more interesting (if they even do that at all)

Your poll should have a "don't care" option. I voted 'no' instead, but really I don't care either way. I honestly don't hear very many people ever talk about achievements or the gamerscore, etc. I don't think the masses truly care about this aspect much.

At an individual game level, Nintendo always has leader boards of some sort and that is where comparison is fun and interesting anyways. I'm good with that.
