It depends on what game we are talking about. If it's some kind of AAA game then I will buy it on Xbox One especially with Scorpio releasing next year. Switch would be great for games that I can play on the go.

Some, yes. If I get a switch.
Ihave a PC and a PS3, but still, I own rayman legends, COD BOII and some others on WiiU

This is a very interesting and recurring perspective to me. The idea that there are games that are suited for portable and game that are suited for home consoles. The games I'm by far the most excited about playing away from my TV are the AAA ones.

I always tell this story, but I loved playing Snake Eater 3D because I would play it at home and than play it at work on my lunch breaks. I even played once while in the waiting room for a check-up. I played it with the Circle Pad Pro, so I had the full console button layout. Then I got Phantom Pain, and it was extremely frustrating that I couldn't do the same. It felt like my play sessions were always cut short, so I would spend hours at work thinking about MGSV and wanting to get back home and play again. With Snake Eater 3D, I never felt this way.

I think that a lot of people have never played and beaten a "console quality" game in a portable form factor before, so they don't understand how compelling that convenience can be. They associate portible gaming with short, bite-sized, small-scale experiences, which isn't what they are anymore. That being said, I'm also not self-consious about gaming, so that might have something to do with it as well. I don't get embarassed playing games in public.

Switch would have to do a lot to make me buy multi-platform titles on it.

I'll almost certainly pick up a Switch at some point but it will be purely for exclusives, underpowered home console and potentially no trophies/achievements still, the problem of power gets even worse when I'll likely be getting a 4k HDR TV and a PS4 Pro within the next 6 months.

Even if it got third party support it'd be very unlikely I would buy those games on the Switch.

I have all platforms this gen, PS4, XO, Wii U and PC, i will likely own Switch for 1st party games. As for multiplatform games... IF they really support Switch, then i would seriously stop buying multiplatform games on PS4/XO and focus on Switch.

Note: I play PC for fps, point 'n click and indie games.

Correct answer is anything but the switch. Nintendo has put themselves in a position of being a secondary in the console department if hey are a choice at all. With the Xbox and the PS4 getting upgraded consoles it just lessened their chances of any shot to get love from most as a multiplat platform of choice. Nintendos decision making forces them not to compete but to go around the competition.

It all depends really.

I cant say before what system I will get it for if I dont know the facts. A combination of the following:

* Performance: Is it A LOT better on one system clearly, that is the system to buy it for
* If it has multiplayer: Obviously the system where my friends play it as well
* Is it something I would play on the go?
* We dont know yet what the Switch actually has to offer, some games might just give another experience since it has it's hybrid thingy
* Exclusive content would matter

A combination of all these, if performance is similar I would likely go with the switch since handheld is also a possibility unless there is some sort of massive exclusive contet for another system

I own PC, PS4, will own a Switch a launch and possibly a Scorpio down the road.

I would be very surprised if this was the case. It's really not a hybrid. It's just a portable console.

If that is not a hybrid console, what is a hybrid console?

Capcom mentioned something about they wanted Switch games to be different, so who knows what will happen.

PS4 Pro.
