Probably for the mutliplayer modes on top of the SP. Reviewers tend to be suckers for that. Either way, they happen to both be great games.

Maybe because is an exclusive and has better graphics. Already 2 friends of mine with a Ps4 told me the new Tomb Raider is actually way better, I still need to play it though.

Writing and characters are givens, graphics sure. Gameplay is more debatable, but what cinches it for me is that ND polish and the nuance they've dialed in since Neil and Bruce took the reins.

Tomb Raider is a great game, but just not very memorable compared to UC4. UC4 has better graphics, characters and did an overall much better job at mixing things up with its crazy set pieces and awesome gameplay moments.

I haven't played ROTTR yet, might pick it up during black friday but I did enjoy Tomb Raider 2013 a lot more than Uncharted.

Considerable better graphics
Considerable better story/writing
Considerable better characters.

Either way both games are fantastic.

Well. I do enjoy UC more, so maybe it's that, on the enjoyment side it got upgraded grades.

But I do liked Tomb Raider as well, since the first game, but UC always seemed better to me. Better graphics, history, "feel of reality", etc.

Because it's much better game in all aspects.

And not to forget, altough for me GT is leaps and bounds better than Forza (ad we know for fact that the race simulation part is better) most reviews and some fans give Forza better grades and they have their reasons even if I disagree. Similar case perhaps?
