Its the question how important this is for Nintendo. As Switch will be the only remaining relevant handheld a Monster Hunter support is practically given. Nintendo might not mind if Capcom ports it to PS4/X1 for western markets.

No, it first was ported as MH3G to the 3DS with additional contents and this version was ported to the WiiU.

That is a good question. MH3 on the Wii had some better western reception, but still in Japan it sold 3 times as much as the rest of the world.

Maybe this game has no western appeal (I like it, but I might be an outlier) or it wasn't good marketed so far to western audiences.

I don't think a simple port to PS4/X1 will do much, but combined with the proper merketing it might have an impact.

Hopefully, with switch now they can develop better visuals.

Ugh, if that is true it has some major gameplay changes. The portable version would keep the old mechanics. If Sony wants this for Japan it might not working, but these changes may appeal to a western audience. All under the assumption this is true.

I actually have no problem with the graphic, but I want the higher resolution. Textures and polys can be the same (as was the case with MH3U for WiiU).

Better graphic actually might kill the series. I doubt it will reach a bigger audience but costs would explode.
