I think it will. We have Pokemon this year and a bunch of games next year. The DS continued to sell even after the 3ds came out so there is no reason 3ds won't continue to sell considering the games that is coming out for it.

Never. It will be replaced by NX in March. Nintendo wants to sell 5 million units this fiscal year. Starting in April 2017 the number will be much lower.

It's still possible, but it's getting harder and harder. We'll see how much power it still has during the coming holidays, and what Nintendo's shipment numbers will be.
