I have Sonic Adventure 1+2 DX. That's my entire Steam library. (i only own Steam Deck, no PC, so can't really play anything super demanding unless I'm willing to take a heavy performance hit.)
I have about 100 steam games currently (I'm pretty selective, and don't just buy random stuff). So a vast majority of it is jrpgs/rpgs.
(I didn't start playing on pc until not too long ago, it was more the one off type of deal before.... and stuff like POE)
(is it a bad thing, that I don't want to own alot of games I wont enjoy? or like bad f2p and such? I get the highly rated games, and like rpgs I know will appeal. Like I would rather they not even show up on my steam account (if its a bad game or something not to my likely (genre wise)). It has to be a quality title that appeals to me, for it to even be considered added/bought)
The insane thing is I have like 80 games on Epic store launcher (of which almost all of them where free gift games, from epic).
Serious Epic are awesome for giving away so many free games (not everything is my cup of tea though, but sometimes its nice to try something different).
I have maybe 20 ish games on GoG (mostly old classics I want to know I can always keep/play).
So basically steam is for RPGs, and epic is when your feeling like trying something different (epic gift a good mix of genre imo)...
Insane some people here are over 5k games. And someone showed over 29,000$ spent on steam..... thats wow.
I'm generally really selective, research and only add like the odd rpg or jrpg I want to play.
If its not a major thing, I wish list it and wait for specials on them too.
If your over 5k games, I guess you have much broader tastes, and aren't nearly as selective as I am.....
and you likely spend a ungodly amount of money on games. Do you guys just have 1000's of games in you backlog yet to be played?
I had well over 100, closer to 200 but I moved to soely console with the ps4 and never looked back, half them I wouldn't even play an hour or two. I'd boot it up and start fiddling with settings and downloading mods, keeping track of FPS and what not and that mentality of not engaging with games was bleeding over into my console experience too. I finish games now, I actually play them and enjoy them and the only thing that gets me from playing the way I want is trophies but I've learned to ignore them too and only engage with them if I'm loving a game and have run out of content.

My library shows 47 games now. I know a couple I picked up were completely free this year. 13 years on Steam. |
My profile has me up to 68 games here at the start of 2025. I spent $32.75 in 2024 to get 15 games. Most of that was from the Command & Conquer collection I picked up for just under $10 for 12 games.

I'm ast 816 at the moment, up from 344 in 2016. A quick glance hints at 2023 and 2024 having been fairly slow years in terms of getting new games, but besides that, the pace seems to have been relatively stable since 2016 (or at least relatively high...). These days I'm more careful about what I get, and it helps that there seem to be fewer interesting new releases. Sadly that hasn't translated to a lot of backlog progress on PC, but I'm sure it will sooner or later (sooner or later I'm bound to run out of console games, which I seem to have focused on in 2024, even though it might take a while).
I recently passed 300, but in usual Steam-user fashion, I've played only about a third of them. Maybe even less. I have about 110 games on GOG as well, and another 30 or so on Origin.
