People blaming owners of rival platforms couldn't be more childish.

Games like this will always be struck with low user scores because there will be just as many people who hate the concept and much as people like it. Same with games like Gone Home and Witness

So what you're saying is that people that hate the concept of the game will buy the game that they hate the concept of and then give it a zero because they hate the concept.

Legit logic right here.

You know for a fact that this happens. Don't for one second imply it doesn't.  How else would crap like COD keep selling well every year

You know for a fact that people who buy COD every year love it. Don't for one seond imply that isn't the case.

Just because you think it's crap, doesn't mean everyone else feels the same way.

These comments are just getting silly now, but I'll bite.

Everybody I know,  has purchased COD day 1 since MW2. After a few weeks, we all decide it's crap, albeit  some more than others.  Millions of people will feel the same way, but we still buy it because that what gamers do.

Tens of millions buy COD every year, if you don't think at least half of those will think it's crap, you are kidding yourself.

Or because people actually enjoy the games. Classic case of "I think it sucks and everyone else should feel the same way" syndrome. Swordfish was right. Thats some of the most legit Internet logic I've ever seen.

To simply disregard the scores as hater-scores is also not fair, it could also just be an overhyped underwhelming game, who knows. It´s not like we haven´t had such experiences this gen, be it The Order or similar cases.

Half? Really? You actually think that more than 10 million people think the game is not just ok, or mediocre, but crap?! Ok, you know what? No point arguing any further.

I don't think comparing it with a single player game with a 4-6 hour campaign is very accurate, but ok...

Its very fair actually. Just wait until Gears of War 4 comes out and look at what PlayStation fans will do to the user score lol.

A game is more than its length and 6 hour single player games can be a lot more fun than 100 hour games, look at Metal Gear Rising and God of War: Chains of Olympus.

The Order isn't one of them though.

I´m not comparing the games nor am I judging NMS. Just stating the obvious that there have always been hype bubbles, that can burst post-launch. My point is hype alone isn´t exactly warranted in every case nor a guarantee for actual great products.
