Forums - Politics - Bernie Sanders supporters of VGChartz, are you voting for Hillary Clinton?

I am a Bernie Sanders' supporter and I am voting for:

Clinton 114 27.80%

Donald Trump 123 30.00%

Donald Trump cuz America ... 41 10.00%

No one 132 32.20%

Total:410

Wow the poll is pretty much equal between Trump or Hillary. That's actually quite amazing since Hillary is standpoints are way closer too Berny than Trump us standpoints even the consistency is doubtful.

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar

Or going rogue and voting for Trump?

Also, Sanders supporters expressing why they are planning on voting for Trump:

Not really sure where they found these people but none of them are true Bernie Sanders supporters.  You where never a true Bernie Sanders suporter if you vote for Trump in November since he is pretty much the polar opposite of Sanders.  And Bernie Sanders himself said he doesn't want people to vote for Trump.  If you are a real Sanders supporter you either vote for Hillary a third party canditate or you don't vote at all.

Seriously what the F is wrong with some of you.. If you are a Sanders supporter there is no F-ing way you vote for Trump.

Exactly even Sander himself said that he doesn't want people to vote for Trump.

wow, 71% will not vote for Hillary

If you were a Sanders supporter and you're now moving on to supporting Trump, you never truly believed in Sanders' cause to begin with. Hell, even by voting third party/not voting at all you are inadvertently helping Trump win. No third party candidate is winning, you might as well not vote at all, because that vote you are throwing away could be better used to help Hillary triumph over the greater evil.

bet: lost

Gary Johnson. I dunno how I would feel about the other two being president.

Exactly what make you think you still not voting for Goldman Sachs by voting for Trump.  It's very interesting to me why people believe Trump somehow isn't tied to big money.  Exactly what has he done to protray this image because from his background it seems very evident that he he would definitely be on the take.

I mean, it was only one of his main platforms, that the only big money he's tied to is his.

At the end of the day, it doesn't matter; no one gets to directly vote for the president from this point on, anyway. That's the silly aspect of the election - that people think their vote means anything past the primaries (pro-tip: they don't).

Trump has many things on his platform but most of them are there because he believe thats is what people want to hear.  If you ever watch or read a fact check during any Trump speach most times he either flat out lie or just goes off the top of his head without a shread of proof.  Maybe he will get better during the presidency but I doubt it.

Not sure what you mean on your last point but if you are sayig the presidency is rigged, then I higly doubt Obama would ever had made it to office.

I don't agree with this idea. In voting wether it concerns the country or not, abstaining is a right. I don't want to be forced down to swallow a pill just because I'm lead to have an illussion that there are only two choices I can make.

Saying someone who sits out is just helping trump is downright wrong. There's something very wrong when you say, if you're not with us then you're the enemy. Not sure what exact word to use for it but that's kinda like false dichotomy.

However I believe if you abstain, you don't have the right to be very vocal about pointing fingers to those who voted such decisions.

An election is a zero-sum contest. There is a clear winner and a clear loser. The winner gets to occupy the White House as commander-in-chief and head of the executive branch from 2017 to 2020. The loser goes back to what they were doing If someone who would normally vote Democratic sits at home out of protest over their dislike of the party's nominee, that is one less vote for the Democratic candidate. If someone who would normally vote Democratic votes for the Republican candidate over their dislike of the party's nominee, that's not just one less vote for the Democratic candidate, it also helps the Republicans twice as much as sitting home would.

Elections are not a game. They are not a joke, even if certain nativist demagogues might make them seem that way. Whoever wins in November sets the tone for the next four years. They take the lead on foreign policy. They get to nominate Supreme Court justices. They choose which laws to pass and which to veto. These are life and death matters. This November we are choosing who becomes President of these United States. We must choose who we feel best represents us and our interests. If the idea of a Trump presidency appals you, then you don't sit on your ass on election day because Bernie didn't get the nomination, and you sure as hell don't vote for Trump. No liberal, progressive, or Democrat of sound mind would even risk someone like Trump getting anywhere near the White House. The "Bernie of Bust" people have completely lost their damn minds, and they have just five months to come to their senses and get the hell over it.

In what statement did I say it is a joke?

Those I vote for, I believe in. If let's say I am eligible to vote for US Elections. I don't believe in Trump nor do I believe in Hilary. Saying to choose the best out of the two goes against the very nature of why I would vote.

If someone believes in Hilary or Trump. That's their choice. Not mine. And if I don't believe in neither, then that is my choice.

Oh and the recent news about Hilary not being charged by the FBI is a far greater statement to this whole state of US politics. How sad.

I'll vote for Hillary. Mostly because mediocre is better than awful.

Not blaming, but isn't it exactly the reasonning that lead to mediocre versus awful ? If mediocre didn't stand a single chance, perhaps we would have mostly good candidates, and awful would be no match. And really, not blaming electors, because it should not be on electors to correct such a flaw, I mean Obama endorsing her, getting away with the FBI, the money from Wall Street flowing to her, she should not be there in the first place.
