Fans cheer for Sony, because they offer such a great variety.
This is so not true.

I like multiplayer in my games. Coop or competitive.
I spent close to 200 hours on Halo 5 and most of that time was playing against people all over the world.

Multiplayer is very crucial for me.
Yeah, a good singleplayer can be fun here and there, but I like my online gaming.

So, what did Sony announce for people like me?
NOTHING.

Was there any good exclusive with great online multiplayer on stage for E3?

Xbox had:

Gears of War 4,
Halo Wars 2,
Forza Horizon 3,
Dead Rising 4,
Scalebound

on stage and they all have an online component.

Sony should really get their game up in that department.
PSPlus is a waste of money at this point.

Aren't all of those games coming to PC and thus are not exclusives?

Flower, Journey.
JRPGs.
DriveClub, Motorstorm, GT, Twisted Metal
Until Dawn, Heavy Rain.
Little Big Planet.
Ratchet and Clank.
Afrika, Tokyo Jungle.
Valkyria Chronicles.
Warhawk, Starhawk.

Move, PSVR.

Enough said.

Sonys presser was my favourite by far but I don't think you're be wrong in pointing out a lack of multiplayer focused games shown, but they're definitely present on Playstation

Uncharted 4
No Mans Land
GT Sport
The Tomorrow Children
Dreams (2017)

I just think its less important because third parties do it so well. An emphasis on competitive multiplayers games wouldn't actually diversify the systems portfolio

And how is fps ( occasional tps) and racing every single year variety?

Seems lots didn't read the OP lol.

spending 200 hours on a single game for MP is not variety...

Peeps in,............. Laughs............. Walks away.

Didn't think of it this way but OP certainly has a point. I like MP too. But if I got a PS4 now, only two games would fit the bill, uncharted 4 and TLOU, but both of those MP are for and "acquired taste".

There doesn't look like anything is coming round the corner for MP either. Perhaps that why games sell more on PS4, since clearly a lot of their games have limited lasting appeal?
